OK, so who's havin a laugh ?

Didn't go today so can't comment on play, but just take a look at the line up for this first game and you just know somebody's having laugh.
Lets start with the appointment of captain, of the players picked to start this game who on earth would you have chosen for the job, Baxter ? Collins ? Murphy ? or Basham, perhaps ?,
I'm afraid apart from Bash ( and that's dodgy) there was nobody but McEveley you could have chosen for the job.
The goal keeper, you drop Howard then bring in young Long and drop him in at the deep end to see what he's like under pressure and it's looking like most of us thought he's not good enough, but then to cap it all when he does start making changes he brings on Scougall and Reed into a game where the commentators are telling us our players aren't strong enough and keep getting knocked off the ball most of the time.!!!!
Like I said I didn't go but I'm really hoping that most of the team today where picked to see how they cope under pressure, and just maybe to prove a point to the directors ..

Because for me giving every body a clean sheet time is over,and there's got to be a big clear out a coming.....

What sort of manager would do that? I can think of probably three. The late Brian Clough, Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho. They'd get away with it. Anyone else, doubt it.

I am sure that the spectre of David Weir's tenure will at least as a thought have crossed the minds of Phipps, the Prince and McCabe after that performance. Indeed looking at the fixtures I can see us not winning a game till September.

Exactly, some united fans after 4hour journey home were asking each other if they were up for morcambe, I know certainly that after that yesterday I will not be up for morcambe.
