Just a bit of fun but thought you guys might like to offer some original excuses Blackwell could use after losing the next game (if indeed we do) surely he's running low on material by now.

here goes...

"Bristol city's grass is a different shade of green to ours, which made for a really difficult afternoon"

the squads too thin but cotts was never gonna get a game so we let him go anyway
killas mind not on the job
it didn't help with shearer watchin from the stands
injuries haven't helped us
but have fath we will win nd we can look forward to
i knew when the players were back from injury we would be alright

"one of the players went out for a curry last night and has the shits he shouldnt be playing if im honest"
"we had 11 unfit players out there all of them has had an injury since the start of there career so how can u expect them to be fit"
"we had so many players who would have started today out because of injury, kyle reid, glen little, ryan france i could go on"
"if wed have had a bit of luck and them shots that went out for throwings had have gone in we would have won that game"

I am the world’s greatest manager my tactics are so advanced and magnificent no mortal can understand them.

its the fault of the fans see, I just need the booing to hit the right frequency and the ball will react to the acoustics of the ground swerve in to the net off every long ball blasted in the general direction of the goal.

I am absolutely irreproachable

cotts had to go as he was messing up my system some fans cheered him.

I’m the greatest man manager ever I know the players love me there always leaving me presents in my office like small kevin blackwell action figures with pins stuck in them.

"We have a great bunch of lads"
"It was not down to me that Cotts has gone"
"The other team were rather lucky"
"Not everyone is fully fit yet"
"Seth thats a stupid question"
"Fans need to be patient"
"My hands are tied"

Today we had to put up with a really strong cross wind which was totally different to the swirly gusts we get at Brammall lane. It's just not fair!

Were getting rid of the dead wood & investing in youth.
No more players will be sold

The air was a bit thinner at altitude so our high ball tactics didn't work.

I didn't have a plan B so the game should be replayed.

Sam Ellis: Well Kevin decided that he wouldn't talk to the media again, so here I am in his place.

It's very difficult when you have 4 or 5 coming back from injury. It's like signing new players and they'll take time to bed in again. I've got a very young squad and I've not had any money to spend and we'll have to get on with it. We're not feeling sorry for ourselves and we'll go to Plymouth looking to put this right.

"Worst injury crisis of my career, we have a decimated squad, I've had to sell quality players, We seem to come up against wonder goals every week, the ref was awful..."

These aren't just excuses these are M&S excuses!

If you take the goals out of the game, its a good away point and something we can build on.

'Today I got caught out as the tosser that most of our fans think I am' or
' It's Cotterills fault for leaving us in the lurch after me giving him so many opportunities -honestly he's not only let me down he's also let Sam down too' or
Monty has worked his socks off and his boots have chafed his ankles so we think he could be out for another six weeks' or
'Bunn is a smashing lad but he's f***ing useless' or
'Who'se this Kyel Ried bloke never heard of him' or
'Quinny never stops running so I can't tell him he's dropped for the next game'
or 'The fans are 100% behind me'

The air traffic from the nearby airport was interfering with our unique style of passing.

"It's a difficult place to come to, Ashton Gate, but we came with a game plan it's just unfortunate that we let in three in the first 20 minutes because I thought we bossed most of the match without getting any breaks."

"we were left a bit thin on the ground, what with Cotts leaving and the club unable to secure any loans before the deadline..."

And I'll bank on that one!

"Come on Seth! That's a nothing question! I mean, come on Seth"

I thought there was nothing in it, but when Bristol scored the 5th it really killed us.
OR
We had to travel down on the friday, so we did'nt have enough rest.

the ball was far too round which meant that they were able to pass it around on the floor while our lads were looking skywards to see where it was.

That could possibly be it word for word. I'd also like to add that worst player on the park had tonsilitus and we tried for a few targets that went elsewhere

'The injuries are still piled up, I've had to play 2 players today who are ill. Selling a fit Cotterill and having fit players on the bench doesn't help either.
But even with that, I can't believe we've conceded another 4 goals, because we bossed the game on the main of it. But we fell unlucky to 4 sucker punches.
The lads know they've let themselves down today though and I've let them know in so many words that I am not at fault and it is all down to them, with a dose of the fans also not helping. Sadly though, there is a small minority of fans who seem intent on upsetting the magnificent form we are going through at the moment - the rest of the fans I know are firmly behind me and can see what we're trying to achieve here.
I'm off now to bully some of the players'

it was refreshing to hear david moyes comments after the defeat at hull last night
"I am the one who has to take responsibility for the team. I pick the team and I sign them. I'm the one who has the ultimate responsibility"..
now that is a quality manager.

Yep.

Although its not often we have a manager that is prepared to take the blame for a poor performance.

We should be playing with a yellow ball like in the premier league, its impossible to see a white ball against a green background at this time of year.

"We should have scored a lot more, sorry we only won three-two, but I was too busy hugging their gaffer."

"Well we all know that Hendo is a massive donkey, but I had no other strikers fit with Camara out and Ched recovering from Flu"
