Club really need to check on their statements 2 days ago no one had asked to leave
but Danny Wilson says on OS we couldn't stand in his way and Henderson felt at his age he
needed to be playing in the championship ? ? ?

why don't the club just issue a statement we all know we need to sell so if an offer comes in we will accept
and let a player go rather than 1 day saying 1 thing and the next another ? ? ?
 
to be fair the club has constantly said , via Wilson its understandable that some players (those on big bucks) may move on
Its sensible in the current climate
Our neighbours art Lilys Pork Stores fc on penistone road , despite being as they keep reminding us debt free have spent the grand sum of nought pounds and nothing pence this summer

Maybe Hendo didn't ask to leave, maybe then an offer came in and maybe then it was accepted. The club have also said that any player is potentially available for transfer and plenty may leave. Can't see what they've said or done wrong (on this occasion ;))

Incidentally, not a squeak from Paul Walker or Seth Bennett on twitter on this in the last week. Any bit of Barnsley, Donny or Wednesday rumoured transfer news, and they can't wait to be the first with the info.

Despite being debt free, Mandaric will want back every penny he's spent plus a nice wodge of profit. McCabe, it seems, will not.
 
It was in the mirror the other day that millwall were after out of contract henderson, if thats so we will not get a bean for him will we?

That was an error by the Mirror, he had one year left. I suspect you're likely to be bang-on re: the fee though...

If Hendo has taken a pay cut, I suspect much of the transfer money will have been redirected into his pocket in the form of a signing-on fee.

Deal sweetener for the player, subsidised by United who desperately need the bloke off the pay roll.

probably the nearest scenario to the truth
in less trying times financially we could have expected 1/1.2 million for him but a years wages at 15k a week , 700k or thereabouts , we might get a 100 200k as a token

On £15,000 a week he would have got £750K a year in the last year of his contract, now he will get £300K a year, so he has probably got some sort of signing on fee in the region of £300-£400K I would have thought.

In all seriousness, I could write a book regarding Hendersons 3 years at BDTBL.

None of which would have anything even remotely constructive to state about the bloke and the "job" he has done for UTD.

But do you know what.. Why bother.

Better to just say Bon Voyage Darius Alexis Henderson.
