However, reading the reports, wasn't too bothered in the end!

me neither, had to post tickets back as they won't cancel electronically and I don't live in Sheffield any more so can't just wander down to the ticket office. Post office advised me strongly to send them special delivery as I'd be fucked if they got lost in the post so now £6.45 down. Not happy. International break in October as well looming so not sure wether to bother getting tickets for Rochdale game now.

I can only think it's to verify that you actually want to cancel them. Otherwise could a 'mate' phone up and cancel them 'for a laugh'?

Dont think there will be many u21s, u20s etc internationals on Nov 9th-17th because there are just Euro 2016 play-offs plus a few friendlies

guess it's U20s, U18s and Canada that will affect us - can't find any fixtures published for those in October or November (some Canada olympic qualifiers but think that is the under 23's) - so hopefully we won't be affected?

Basically, as long as we're not playing away or against Coventry we're OK.

Still can't understand why this game is off. It pisses me off that a weekend of meaningful football is cancelled because England/whoever are playing some Third World team. It's not as if England/whoever will seriously challenge for a major competition.

Anyway, Tuesday 15th is better than a freezing cold night in February and doesn't let the others get too far ahead of us.

Well ive always said there should be pre qualification so top 36 uefa ranked teams & remaining 18 either play a 2 legged tie 9 winners go into the 9 groups. Or 5 groups 3x4 where top 2 progress, 2x 3 where leaders progress

My birthday too BB. Can't get to Satdi games so these rearranged fixtures are a godsend. Strangely, first fixture we could get to last year was Yeovil, October 21st, our 25th wedding anniversary.

Considering the game was off yesterday, if it "was" actually played and "if" we would have won (as form strongly suggests) we would have been TOP of the league.

Are we just bloody unlucky - there was our chance and it didn't happen !

Hope it is now just 2 home games and 9 days until we can sing " We are top of the league, I say............................we are top of the legue".

The Faeroe Islands have done the double over 2004 European Champions Greece in this campaign. Malta have given 2006 World Champions Italy 2 mightily tough matches and lost 0-1 on both occasions. Keep the minnows in I say and let them have their time in the sun.

I don't worry about Colchester. They're about the same standard as Morecambe.

Would comfortably beat Colchester. Unless NEW happens to be a Nyron Nosworthy/Jordan Stewart hybrid.
