We were standing in't quew in our Chippy
thi were Albert me and our Lee,

anyway, while he's waiting for next batch
he comes or an starts talking to me,
"what's tha think to our chances tommorra ?

I thought this chap must be a floater
he obviously weren't there last week
but a still had one eye on me scraps tha knows
when oppend mi gob to speak.

Last week was a shade disappointing
though I shouldn't complain I admit
I suppose we a gate of near 28000
I was hoping they'd show off a bit

The first half we played lovely football
it looked like we'd be scoring for fun
but we missed some bloody good chances
and it came back to bite us on bum,

now tomorrow we'll be playing Bolton
another team hot on our trail
and maybe, Officials permitting.
this time the Blades will prevail

So get off thi backside tomorrow
and get down to the Lane me old luv
and join us in cheering our hero's
back into the league up above.
