Harsh but fair. Ballsed up on their first goal and then what he did for the killer second was outrageous. We go 1-0 down and then are denied a stone wall penalty so should be going in at HT 1-1.
Then we come out in second half and Boggy misses from 5 yards, so were looking likely to get something out of it. Then for no apparent reason, that creature knees the ball out of play like an amateur schoolboy to the laughs of the home fans and they score from the corner completley knocking the stuf out of us. I had fantasies about destroying him last night and ruined a perfectly good pringle by hurling it at the T.V. Thanks a lot Nos you shithead.

His marking was poor for their 1st but we had 4 players in the box against one of theirs. Yes, he cocked up for the corner (which may not have been) but we duffed the clearance from it and left a known good striker of the ball on his own on the edge of the box.

Yes, Nos was poor but so were at least 6 or 7 others.

The reply showed the ref got it wrong and Nos had knocked it out for a throw-in.

Nos was terrible last night, and rightly hauled off by adams.

More than a few times he gave the ball away cheaply trying to do something fancy and put us under pressure, when it would have been easier to lay the sideways pass.

He's an absolute embarrassment of a footballer.
Anyone ITK know how much this chump is getting off us this year?

He was awful last night, & rightly taken off.
I thought Collins had a stinker also.

Whilst agreeing he is overall poor and individual errors on his part have been awful, I just cant help thinking its a little bit simplistic to lay our relegation full square at his door. He is part of a terrible team in a poorly run club. We have tried to survive on the cheap for two years relying on loan players and the powers that be just dont seem to recognise quite what a failure it has been.

Nos has surely only got seven more games in a Blades shirt and we will be waving good bye to him, I can not see any scenario where he is playing for us in the third division next year.

I don't think anyone's blaming him entirely (I'm not), but i think only Simmo rivals him this season for the goals his mistakes have led to, and considering he's probably one of the top 3 earners at the club that's pretty bad.

Seven games too many in my book

I don't know how people can single out nossy as the reason we lost last night. Collins was at fault to the first playing the lad onside, and to be fair nossy may have miss controlled the ball but replays show it didn't go for a corner. If people are going to be blamed you have to start with ale house and his starting 11 formation boggy on the left?? sorry not his strongest position, then ched on the right?? again not where he plays. What is wrong with 4-4-2?? That formation would have worked IMO last night and we might have got something but we did as per usual laid down and died, some mickey should have sorted out even at 2-0 i thought we have a chance. The players in the wrong positions looked lost and Doyle and monty can not play together they are identical so that need addressing who goes i don't really care but one has to. Although nossy didn't have a good game i think the blame goes on mickey sorry adams lovers thats my opinion.

He got unlucky with the corner decision, but he gave the ball away so many times last night, and just like the first goal at Watford, wasn't tight enough on his man when the ball came in.

We really can't afford to have both nos and Collins in the same back 4.

What's up with parrino? Is he out of favour or injured?

Personally thought Collins was much worse than Nos last night, cant head, cant tackle, no pace and the positional awareness of a blind man (sorry blind folk that maybe a tad harsh on you) and as for playing Monty and Doyle??? arent they supposed to offer some protection for the back 4?? coitus interruptus offers more protection.

I agree with Davidpinder though Admas caused a lot of the issues himself last night, should have played 442. The number of times last night I wondered where our midfield had got to was scary!!

With seven games to go, how many times this season have we seen a "clearance" from us go to an unmarked oppo player in or around the box. :brick:

I appreciate we were playing the top team in the league, and not for one moment did I think we would beat them on their patch but to be so completely ineffective at the basics of the game makes me mad

He was pretty poor but so were about three other players. The collective is the reason we lost last night - we're just shit.

against leeds the defence looked pretty solid a little jittery at times but pretty good, but bringing collins back in was enforced and tbh a mistake, ive seen collins a few times before he came to us and he isnt actually bad, saying that he came into a team on a real down, no confidence and catching flack from all sides, not exactly moral boosting.
IMHO if we had a settled back 4 most of the season i believe things would have been very different, can anyone tell me most games in a row we have played with the same back 4?
as cloughy used to say attacks start with defence and in truth we havn't had a defence all season, to blame one or even two people for our current plight is mis informed at best downright stupid at worst.
we have a keeper that 6 out of 10 times ball heads into our box everyone is terrified he will flap or miss the ball and gift a goal against.
we have a couple of decent defenders but even they aren't consistant and im sure having a mediocre keeper behind them instills massive confidance.
midfield to my mind only part of the team with a little fight and commitment, unfortunately mostly lacking in speed and/or skill.
strikers, apart from the occasional glimpse from ched and same from vokes while he was with us, not one is a true goal scorer ie 20+ goals a season add to that lack of service from behind them and that about sums up why our season was if im brutally honest over before xmas.
you cannot win games if you leak a lot of goals and cant score, simple maths they score 1 we score 0 result we lose.
all the best teams have built from a solid, reliable and above all consistant keeper/defence, working on the premise if they cant score they cant beat us.
even arguably the best defence in english football, arsenal of the 80's/90's were not outstanding players but they did thier job, were settled and because of that worked fantastically as a unit.
if/when we go down if its ralph wiggum or some other manager first job is to sort defence.
my 2 cents

He'd be playing for Sunderland if he was any good. Cost us loads of goals this season with school boy errors.

I'm lost. I thought McCabe was to blame for everything? Even Gaddafi has said that "McCabe is arming the rebels"

Collins and Nosworthy are not fit to wear the shirt, Collins had a mare and what the fucking hell was Nos doing for the 2nd goal, corner or not, that was a fucking joke, I never want to see them anywhere near that team again, play the kids if we have to, they won't be any worse than either of those two.

Yeah, but Gaddafi also said "True Blades are in Libya fighting the Imperialistic terrorist invaders" so you can take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Ive said it before and I will say it again ,hes amongst the worst players I have seen in a Blades shirt in nearly 50 years of going to matches .

Hes up their with Frank Barlow, Charlie Bell,Terry Garbutt,Dennis Longhorn,Tony Moore,David Bradford and the likes of Tony Field ,Ive selected these few because they are sinominous in my mind to relegated sides and the dark years that followed .

A useless defender who I hold not only as responsible for last night but also as one of the main reasons we are where we are today ,I have lost count of the goals we`ve conceded this season becuase this loser coudnt defend to save his life .

totally agree norfolk, play the kids at least they would play with a bit more fuckin passion and heart

To say Nosworthy was the entire reason we lost last night is obviously ridiculous, but I did have a couple of thoughts. That was the first time I'd seen us under Adams and it would probably be foolish of me to comment on him given the obvious gulf in quality and confidence between the two teams. The entire defence was poor last night, none more so than Collins to me, who's positioning and marking was awful. If we had Morgan back and just couple of better defenders I think we would have competed and maybe gotten something out of the game, I suspect that might be the case for this whole season. It would be foolish to brazenly state we will stay up, now, and I do think we will probably go down, looking at the big picture, but I'll still look for the results on Saturday with the notion that we may still escape in the back of my head.

I doubt it, McCabe's skint! (maybe he has but kept the receipt so he can take them back)

I really disagree with you ,Lowton and Collins were on a hiding to nothing because Nosworthy and Mattock were hopeless leaving them with no option but to be drawn out of position as the cover in front from Evans and Bogdanovic was also non existent. the threat from QPR came almost exclusively from the flanks ,even Helguson and Smiths main success was out wide. Collins won more headers than any other player on the pitch.

First goal defo Nosworthy's fault, he should have been alot tighter on the goal scorer; he didn't read the situation and only reacted -to late - once the ball was at the scorer was getting his shot off. The second it was poor control to concede the corner but Lowton had plenty of time to clear the ball properly.

Collectively the defence has been poor all season. Compare our defence with QPR's last night to see how a defence should play effectively as a unit.

How did we not get a penalty for Hall's blatant push on Quinny when clean through? Also arguably Boggy got a good ol' push in the back when he skied over the bar. I suggest the QPR defense had some luck there.

Nosworthy and Collins are an embarrasemen't to the Blades!!!!! Terrible last night, I cant see anyway back now, league 1 here we come :(

Also, Henderson won nothing all night, relegation means players like him will be gone, good riddance,Doyle is crap also.I like Mattock but dissapointing last night, should have closed Routledge down for the 3rd goal instead of giving him a few seconds to smash it in bottom corner.

Some might say they just did enough to put them off without conceding a pen. Our lot woudln't have been awake enough to get anywhere near to getting a little push or pull in to put the opposition off.

Im certainly not trying to defend Nosworthy, I thought he was very poor. Collins did look solid in the air, and looked hard to beat when he got tight to attackers, but his general positioning and reading of the game seemed nervous and out of sync (and at center back its fair to say he had to deal with more pressure). He's probably not a bad player, he cant have played in the upper echelons of leagues for so long without having some quality, and the same goes for Nosworthy, who was great at Sunderland. The defence was generally all over the show, though, and looked like they'd never played together before. The rest of the team seemed quite competent, I think with a stronger and settled back four we'd be a pretty decent team in this division, and that our lack of goals can be arguably put down to the same problem.

Kent ,it makes you wonder if the crux of the problem is the goalkeeper. He certainly makes me feel uneasy so if you've got quality strikers playing against you with no help from behind it would make a difference. He gave Collins a pass last night at 1-0 and put him and the team under immense pressure when a punt up field would surely have been a better option.

One thing I noticed was that our central midfield pairing got bossed last night.
Monty was very lucky not to give a goal away on a couple of occassions and him and Doyle lost everything in the air.

It has been done to death but Blackwell really did assemble a squad of midgets and I was disappointed that Adams say fit to buy! another small terrier like central midfielder in Doyle, thus further reducing our athleticism.

Fair play to Quinn he has looked transformed in recent weeks but we can't afford two other tiny guys around him...
