If you looked at injury minutes per first team squad size, we’d comfortably be the worst surely? Disproportionately, so. Fewer players with more injuries.

Sports science / Medical staff etc an area which needs and I understand has had a review.

We already knew we had injury prone players just like with the season before so not really surprising.

Completely agree, but it shows why we haven't just lacked quality, but looked completely inept.

I imagine the belief and morale in the squad was already low watching Ndiaye and Berge leave. Then watching player after player get injured, some long term like Egan, RND and Davies, and some horrific like Basham, left it shot.

Our injuries got worse once Hecky took charge. Don't try and twist the injury issues into a problem solely this season, the injury thread was created in Hecky's first season. Players who were always fit such as Baldock started getting issues once he took charge.

Europe not really much but our cups yes. They also can field a second 11 in the cups unlike us. I saw one cup game Newcastle played Karius, Dummett, Khrath, Ritchie, Anderson who aint started a league game.

Being a health and safety manager "retired". If you reported football injuries as "work place" like we've had the HSE would be all over them like a rash
