I make a fairly regular and not trivial donation. I want no medals for that and usually keep it private, but I think it's fair to mention in the light of what you say.

Yes he did,as he more often than not does.
I maintain though that the first half in particular was unacceptable. The players looked hung over and disinterested.
The second half we did enough,but anyone jizzing over today really has poor standards.

I think you have to give a bit of credit to Oldham, they got players behind the ball and pressured us not giving us time on the ball.
They also man marked Duffy.
Second half they couldn't keep it up and woth Wilder bringing on Clarke it changed the game.
Will say one thing though why can't we beat the 1st man with our crossing.
If there was some stats on beating the 1st man with crossing, I'm convinced we would be bottom of the league.

I spent a lovely Christmas day with my Mum and Dad (76 and 83). I do see them often (they've both got Season Tickets next to me in the "silver section"..centre of (New) South Stand..and I only live down the road. That said, we don't, non-football-wise have a lot of quality time together. They both irritate the life out of me, and I'm sure I do them...So Christmas Day, we went for a curry. Just the 3 of us . But it was brill..And then we went back to theirs and watched "Marvellous". It was the perfect end to a relatively perfect day.

I just don't get how negatively this thread started. SBT and TD telling how abysmal we wee and hw 'gash' Coutts was.

Agreed that the first half wasn't classic by this season's standards but come on lads! Are we really so comfortable now that we expect glorious passing football from minute one?

IMHO, the first half was workmanlike against a team who'd parked buses all way across the Snake and were time wasting from the off. Cue synchronised injuries from the off and the usual keeper time wasting. CW give a boot up the arse at HT and the second half was better with Coutts and Duffy more effective. Two great goals from our talisman captain, a good performance from a player many of us have questioned, Clarke, and decent games from Latterty, Bash, JOC.

Really unsure where all the bile and bitterness over the performance has come from. I'm hoping it was post Christmas hangovers and not a sign of things to come.

Just remember the Charlton fans moaning how Curbishley had taken them as far as he could and they needed to 'move on to the next level;. FFS we aren't even at any level yet and suddenly nothimg is good enough.
