Not applauding fans

I wouldn't want the players to come over to me for a 'clap' after a showing like that.

For me, they could fuck off pronto, jump on the coach home, call off at a knocking shop, and collectively catch the clap, for all I care after that shambles.

They’d probably miss the snatch when attempting entry at the knocking shop and Verrips would grope the sideboard when reaching to grab a big pair of tits. And clapping is not high on Blades fans minds after that shit show tonight.

I was there. Not sure all of them were heading straight off, but some were. Billy got them all over to us...everyone but the useless cunt Robinson that is, who still just headed straight down the tunnel.

Carl Asaba noted that at the end of the game, he was co commo with Gidds on Rad Sheff, he came across very well and was expressing the concerns that most fans on here were mentioning during the game.

He kept pointing out and asking "what are our tatics"
"Playing about with the ball at the back and inviting the baggies on to us in our own half, etc".
"Berge playing too deep"
"Strikers isolated up front"
"No one showing any character on the park to get hold of the team"

He said at the start of the 2nd half,

"I don't know what system we are playing, but the team should start playing how they were use to playing, wether managers instructions or not".

Slav doesn't strike me as the sort of manager that goes out of his way to applaud the fans. If he gets results, i don't particularly care. Billy did as he is one of us.
More to the point, did any of the Blades fans applaud that performance? I bet one or two did.
Fans can be so 'precious' about these things sometimes but I'd like to think the players and the manager would have been too humiliated to go over and applaud.

The players went over, didn't look like Sharp ordered them to for me. An awful performance but they did front up to the fans.

That's not what I saw. J Robinson headed straight down the tunnel, John Egan headed towards the tunnel but Billy persuaded him to go and applaud the fans. Credit to George Baldock - at both Swansea and West Brom he made a point of going right up to the away end and doing prolonged applause. Also credit to Callum Robinson, abused by the United fans (why?), he nevertheless came up and applauded us at the end.

I wouldn’t know if they applauded or not. After getting stuck in traffic on the way there we missed the first 15 mins. After 63 minutes we walked out. It’s the first time I’ve done that in 25 years. Absolutely awful performance

Simply not true. Players were over the other end, but starting to make their way over. One (I couldn't make out who) had trudged to the sideline and was looking to head off and it looked like Billy said to come over to him. Brewster then ran the length of the field to come over and give his shirt to a kid at the front. The players took an initial boo from some but continued to clap the travelling fans who reciprocated.
Personally, I don't care if the manager comes over to applaud us, he has his work to do and I'd rather he focused on that rather than some meaningless gesture to appease some (rightfully) pissed off fans.

Surprised anyone was left at full time. Many started to leave at 3, more still at 4 and then it was a continuous trickle until 85th min when i left

I said with 5 minutes to go, that if I was one of the players I would have felt very uneasy coming over at the final whistle.

It was Norwood who waved the bulk of the players to come over with Billy persuading those who were perhaps not so keen to come.

I couldn't bring myself to applaud them, I don't think they deserved it.

However, on the other hand I didn't agree with the booing, the number of 'F*** f's', 'W****' and other obscenities that was screamed at them.

How's that helping?
