Norwood

What I don't get with Norwood is why he lets the ball run all of the time.he hasn't got the pace or speed.just get it under control and lay it off .it as simple as that really .no Hollywood passes needed .easy football.

Just not athletic enough at this level.
It’s not just that imo he’s not quick enough between the ears he doesn’t process information fast enough and so you can unsettle him so easily.

Norwood is showing why the other teams he got promoted with let him go. Good in a team that is playing well, with movement and runners. Not good enough in a team where you are on the back foot for 90 mins (like most promoted teams are, a trend we bucked last year).

Should have been hooked at half time. He does it almost every game. If we can see it why can’t Wilder.

He only looked any good the other day because Newcastle weren’t interested in trying to get the ball back. As soon as he’s under pressure he shits himself. Hence why he’s lost the ball almost every time he’s had it today.

In fairness to Wilder there's literally no one else he could have picked today.

Can't blame wilder for only making 1 (forced) change to the starting line up after our only league win of the season.

Todays loss rests 100% on the players gifting the opposition.

Don’t disagree with that to start but he was off the pace all day and had already cost one goal. He was always going to cost us.

Norwood not even awake today. It was like playing with 10 men.

For people saying don't blame Wilder, he's the one that spent 100+ million and brought in absolutely nothing.

Too many of the old guard have lost their form and too many of the new have found any ......
I’m reluctant to blame the new young lads brought in they were signed to add to what was a solid group it’s not their fault that those senior players who should be helping and leading them have turn to into wet paper bags.

We signed Berge, one of the most coveted young deep-lying midfielders in Europe, to replace Norwood.

Wilder then had the contract dispute with Lundstram and tried to shoehorn Berge into his role where he’s wasted.

Can't defend him today, but as shown when he went off, we haven't anybody else to play that role.. It looked like Ampadu stepped in there and at least picked out McG to get a shot in, then Lunny had a go, but messed about and got nowhere.

Stop peddling that myth about Berge.
I said, and still believe, he will be a good signing.

But nobody wanted him, he wasn't 'coveted', his agent has been desperate for a PL club to buy him for 2 years, and Wilder took the bait.

I've stuck up for Norwood the last few weeks, and he has been better in games where we've had the posession. But that was indefensible, he can't be played against teams that are going to attack, it's pointless. Having said that I'm not really sure what else Wilder could have done.

Lunny in possession is good at going no where.

Why spend 23m on a 6th striker, when we are one injury away from playing the midfield we had out today? Plus throw in the loaning of Freeman... A complete fuck up imo. Wilder and company are 100% responsible for this mess.

Too few have the ability (yet) and experience to find form at this level and some are only on the pitch via the technicality of their only backups are younger kids with less experience and ability at this level.
