Weren't these meant to be made into permanent signings on the 1st Jan?

Btw has Woodburn left us for good not seen any news?

They have haven't they? Evans as well.
I haven't heard about Woodburn but I'm sure his and Johnson's are season long loans- unfortunately.

Think the answer is yes.

The loan agreement was just a technicality to make sure the players played at their new clubs.
In reality both signings have already been agreed and signed, so no announcement needed.

Evans deal must have been made permanent or he wouldn't have been able to play against us
So I'm assuming that the Leonard/Norwood deals have just automatically become permanent as well. No song and dance needed because everybody already knows about it

Yep, only reason Lee Evans was talked about so much is just the coincidence of us playing against eachother at the time it went through.

That was Leonard. He was able to play against us despite being 'on loan' as to all intents and purposes it was a permanent transfer.

Same type of deal as Evans and Norwood though.

If its true that we've got 1mil for both Leonard and 1 mill for Evans, and only paid 2mill for Norwood it has to be the best business we've done for a while.

The incoming fees received go straight to McCabe though. I know that because I read it on here.

The outgoing fees paid are added on the price of our pies or taken from the wages of Bangladeshi child labourers or summat.

Any wages paid to Norwood (who has come from a premier league club), don't count as all wages are covered by the Moneytree.

In effect the club has lost out. It's like Jones and Birchenall all over again...
..but er ....without any blokes called Mick or Alan.

I'm telling you!

£1.4 for Leonard, ~£1.1m for Evans, £1.9 for Norwood.

Essentially Norwood for wages and £500/600k in the coffers.

Cranie in on a free to cover for Leonard covering for Bash.

Outstanding business.

Yes, top class!

No, he was only able to play against us because we specifically gave permission.

We denied permission for Evans to play at the Lane but let him play on 1 January. After that day the transfer became permanent and we had no control.

Of course we didn't pay anything for either.

Well yeah but I'm going on this season's budget, just wheeling and dealing of people already in the building.

£1.4m for Evans and Leonard, £2.5m back, £800k for Norwood is more accurate but still very impressive.

Ah apologies - I thought it was out of our hands due to the nature of the transfer. It was definitely the Leonard situation that was given a bit of an airing on here and elsewhere as it was fairly soon after the end of the window.

Last week, anyhow, Woodburn was back in Liverpool receiving treatment for an injury he picked up training with us, and was expected to be recalled from his loan.
