Why? Slav was hired to change things, to turn things around yet he persists with the same tired players that are basically clapped out.

Yes, it was on a par with with Norwood and Flecks usual performances for 60 mins. Last 30 he was good
For 70 min Hourihane did fuck all on sat...he was even worse...our CMs show no desire to get on the ball and move it quickly

Yep. Need a shift in style and mentality.

Not sure what Norwood has done wrong tonight though. Strange thread title
Its not that he as done anything wrong but we need some leadership and more drive.

The difference now is that we are back to a 3 at the back.

Whoever plays centre mid doesn't have to worry about being defensive.

Egan is now spare and can be our de facto cover player and defender at the same time.

We look much more comfortable with a solid back 3 and wing backs who again are less needed as cover when they've pushed up as part of a 4.

It's taken Slav long enough to work it out - hopefully no goals conceded in the last 2 games playing with a back 3 may make Slav realise what to do next ie: leave it as it is !

Yes, I wrote this at half-time after another uninspiring 45 minutes. Second half was much better and given what happened to John Fleck it's time to rally around the team once again and see if we can kick on. We've been waiting a long time for signs of a revival, frustration is understandable.

I’d imagine he hadn’t realised how little cash we had, and how unsaleable (crap) our big assets are. I think the plan was to deal more, but nobody came in for the dross.

We aren’t blessed with alternatives in midfield. Berge has been crocked, and prior to that our record with him in the team was abysmal. From
there, we’re really short of options.

At least Norwood never hides from the ball. And he's done ok tonight, far better than some others.
The Norwood haters amaze me. As you say he never hides and their are plenty who have over the last 12 months. He's had 4 great years out of the last 5 at 3 different clubs but yet he's shit and we need to ship him out.

He has some weaknesses but so do most footballers, good managers find a blend of players that hide the weaknesses and allow players to do what they are good at. We haven't done that so far this year
