I just can't understand why the BLUT has been locked all week we have around 22k ST holders if they all attend we should have 8k tickets left. Closing the BLUT probably with SAG recommendations drops that to 4k left for anyone else who wants to go, there is your reason a ST holder can't buy an extra ticket for say the wife or a young un who has suddenly got the interest to go. All that is left now are single seats RV seats and some on the Cherry st end of the kop. Why does SUFC always shoot themselves in the foot?
The BLUT will open if / when the rest of the ground sells out.

I reckon it's about 16/17k so far ... Loads of seats free in the kop, and can still get tickets all of the stands and upper tier not open

Probably end up about 22k there including Bristol unless sales pick up
I bought 2 for the kop yesterday for friends, and couldn't get 2 together without being miles from me - so I don't think there's "loads" left (based on that unscientific reason :D ).

Maybe so but why force people into RV seats or sitting apart in the single seats that are left when there are 3000 seats in the BLUT which is also the best view in the ground? It makes no sense to me

I'm fairly sure it will be a SAG thing, out of our control. Hopefully restricted view seats wont count.

This whole thing shows why play off clubs shouldn't be forced to have the same pricing at all four grounds.

A play off game for our fans is nothing like what it is for the other three in any season, but particularly this one, and we also got the short straw of being at home on a Monday night. The club recognised that at least, but surely they could subsidise the ticket prices using the extra money they've received via this agreement, if they really wanted to.

Sadly for some, it simply isnt possible to attend the game. I think my reason of living 10,000 miles away is the biggest sticking point 🤣
I did have a conversation with the wife that lasted all of 30 seconds.

Me: "Anyway, playoffs coming up. I've priced it up and return flights to go to the semi final would be $3000, ticket and beer money would be about $300. and then if we get to the final it would be about the same again plus about another $1000 for accommodation and more beer in that there London.

Wife: "oh do fuck off!"

Going to let her think about it for an hour or 2 because I need a definitive answer if I'm going as I need to set off tomorrow morning to have a chance of making the game on Monday...........

or maybe I'll just get up at 3am to watch it before I go to work for 12 hours......
Plus the cost of divorce as well!

This is so frustrating. I'm not sure if it's the clubs fault but there are lots of people waiting for the BLUT to open. Some people will only sit there because they have done for years and some want to sit with friends/family which they can't do in other areas. Feels like we are missing out on sales for seemingly no reason

Go on then, what did they do that was different?
Not sure to be honest but they sell out far quicker than we do and loads of them come out of the woodwork for big games, wives, girlfriends fans who haven't set foot in the sty for years yet you don't hear of regulars missing out.
Can you enlighten us all on how they do it without dragging the whole ticket buying process out over a week maybe they are a more passionate fan base than we are or I'm missing something. I know one thing for sure they wouldn't still have one of their stands locked down 2 days before a play off semi-final with sausage Rohl pleading for a full house.

Might be they only have a "big" game every five seasons or so.

The pricing and Monday night game is not ideal but our fans "were all ready beaten" glass half empty attitude is a big part of why we're shit in the playoffs.

As much as they are MASSIVE bell ends, the pig fans are generally a lot more optimistic
Our defeats in the biggest games are not the problem, you have to have a good season to get there, it is the manner of those defeats that is the problem

Most of these games we've never even turned up,
And that's the reason for the negativity

Go on then, what did they do that was different?

Looking at how SWFC sold tickets, the obvious difference is that they whipped through the different ‘categories of fan’ , for want of a better expression, extremely quickly compared to how historically United have tended to do it.

They released tickets to the highest category of season ticket holders on Monday morning and gave them exclusivity for just 4 hours, before opening up to the next category at 1.30pm on the same day.

This use of limited ‘half-day’ windows was then continued down through the categories so that by Thursday morning, ticket sales were open to everyone on their database - so, essentially, reached general sale after just 3 days.

By contrast, United generally give season ticket holders alone, at least a 3 day exclusivity window - as they did with the Bristol City tickets. It’s unnecessarily long. Those that are going will, in all likelihood, be online and sorting themselves out within hours of sales starting. There is then a 2-3 days lull in sales until the next category comes online.

I think it's different this time, nearly every past playoffs we've gone into it with major injuries usually without a striker. Plus we've more than turned up for the first game so it's time for fans to stop making excuses and get behind the team imo

Well bugger me, just had an e-mail from the club to fill the lane with red n white and BLUT3 is now open for sale. FFS United just open up the lot if you want people to be there.

…yet, as sales for every single league game prove, fans’ preference is to be in BU2. I really can’t get my breath with whoever is in charge of operations at the Lane.

Wilder pleading for a full house yet we lock one of our stands ....... you couldn't make it up.
Whoever has the responsibility for allocating ticket sales for play off games etc needs to change jobs. The latest farce, trying to force people to select single seats on the Kop by holding back the entire BLUT is crazy.I personally wouldn’t sit on the Kop if it was free !!

How do they expect to attract new fans or sell out when you can’t even choose which seats you want in the dugouts together?

Perhaps,it may be a good idea for someone to suggest this to the people at SUFC,in case we ever reach a final at Wembley in the future. We really are a very old fashioned football club !!

I am no snob, just 6’ tall 74 years old with an artificial hip.I am in agony after 15 minutes sitting on the Kop seats.
Don’t want to “top trump” you but I’m 6ft tall, had both hips replaced, and my lower back L5 disc removed, and I don’t have any issues sitting on the Kop. Might be the gallon of Magnet beforehand that helps👍⚔️🍻

We’re just a really negative fan base with absolutely no optimism. Maybe it’s been taken out of us with the various things that have gone against us.

It’s strange because we sell out most away games, we have an average home attendance in the late 20k’s but when it comes to games like this I just think most people either throw the towel in or lose interest.

I get that for some people they’ll be struggling to afford it, but most people I’ve spoken to ruled out of going to Wembley because “I can’t go down there again and watch us lose”. Bloody hell, what a pathetic excuse.
