So, what's happening? Saudi Prince joins Sheffield United management (the day after the summer transfer season closes) Sheffield United sell their only decent player and thereby empty the closet on talent, plummet down the third tier of English football, sack their inept manager, appoint a worthy replacement who barely arrests the slide to the bottom and during a pivotal moment of the football calendar, whilst the team hover just above the iniquity of the relegation even lower, the watching public and Sheffield United fanbase wait with baited breath to see what our board will do with the expected financial muscle this middle eastern bauble brings. I mean, McCabe has brought him in for something, yeah? I'm struggling to see what, because since he's come, we have dropped like a snapped-off turd into the bowl without even leaving a ricochet-mark on the porcelain. Is his embarkation with purpose? Are the board about to act? The rate we are still shipping goals and failing dismally to reply is seeing us battling forlornly against the flush the way I see it. So, my question is (and all Blades should be asking this - not excusing it in a dribbling orgasm of optimism) is the Saudi gonna put his money where his mouth is? Supplementary question: If the answer is 'no', what the tapdancing-fuck did we bring him in for?
Clock ticking, McCabe. Just under a week until the fans REALLY start to judge you.
