So far there doesn’t seem to be any transfer activity as of yet. I know Slav doesn’t start until 1st July but I really do think we need a reshuffle of the squad and hope that we’re not content with what we have now, particularly that midfield. Other teams have started to turn the screw and some signings look to be on the verge/already announced.

But surely we want to be bringing in players early, the squad is low on confidence and if we start poorly with the team not having gelled then that low confidence may continue.

On the contrary, I would imagine confidence within the squad is now quite high considering who's walking through the door on July 1st. Slav of would have spent most of his time since signing his contract studying the players performances over the last 18 months and will know exactly who he wants to strengthen. I would chill a little Jimmy. We are good hands.

The transfer market won't truly open up until after the Euros/ holiday breaks. Many player's will be sunning themselves and much like the housing market, most transfers have a chain. In a couple of weeks the activity will start to increase and I'm sure we'll start hearing some more definite rumours.

I bet the vast majority don't happen until the final two weeks of the window. Especially when there is a summer tournament holding up some big deals.

Is the squad low on confidence? I certainly didn't see anything of the sort at the back end of last season when they won 3 of the last 6 games and bettered Norwich's points total from the previous season. The same Norwich who went on to walk the Championship the season after.

On top of that we'll also have the best manager in the league so not quite sure where all this bedwetting is coming from?

Every TW is the same. If we haven't signed 3 or 4 players (who the BW's also rate) within days the window opening then people start complaining.

I’m not saying “poor them”, but its a simple fact that footballers have a very small window every year to do stuff like go on holiday, get married, return to their home country if they're foreign, etc. Stuff most people can generally do all year round. Footballers cant just take a fortnight off in November or January. Basically, they're all on holiday. In fact, loads are still at the Euros or Copa America. Not to mention the fixture pile up that has been the last 18 months.

We are back in pre season from Monday, as I guess most clubs will be. Contracts generally start/end from July 1st anyway. We know Slav has been communicating with the board and staff. He’s on with it. The two other sides coming down haven’t even got managers. Chill- we’re well ahead of them already.
