Apologies for it being lengthy.
I'm getting tired of saying this.

I think he has given up
And then we'll make do until summer. Rinse and repeat. As soon as he mentioned the loan window I knew it was curtains for a permanent signing. I do respect that he doesn’t just want some lad from L1 though. As I said on a previous thread we’re going to make do til Jan.
There are plenty of players in League One who would improve usWe have been saying we have exhausted the lower league route and snapped up all the best talent there but have we really? Were Evans and Lundstram really the best midfielders in League One when we bought them? I can concede Leonard as he was seen as one of the divisions leading lights but neither Wigan or Oxford fans were devastated to lose Evans and Lundstram.
Who are your suggestions and reasoning? There are plenty of players in League One who would improve us

Ageee. Morsy (Wigan) and Ledson (Oxford) were both better players at their respective clubs who would have been better buys. Maybe Morsy wasn’t available but I’m sure we could have got Ledson who is now at Preston. We have been saying we have exhausted the lower league route and snapped up all the best talent there but have we really? Maddison definitely would.Who are your suggestions and reasoning?
I can only think of Maddison off the top of my head.
There are better alternatives to Enda Stevens and John Lundstram on your average Wednesday night at Goals. We have all said we need Championship quality but it's pretty obvious we can't afford it so the only hope is finding lower league gems or the foriegn market. We are fully against the latter so it's all about the former. To suggest there is nobody in the bottom 2 divisions better than what we have got seems unlikely.
That Carruthers fella at Oxford definitely could.Who are your suggestions and reasoning?

Reyght geezerJostein Flo and Roger Nilsson would solve the ST and LB problem hahaha... seriously though why on Earth don’t we dip into the foreign market?? I’m no scout or anything but for example there’s this lad Hilmar Árni Halldórsson playing for Starjnan in Iceland, no nonsense ST who scores goals and has just broken into the national team, he’d cost sweet f all both with fees and wages! Plus fans love a foreign signing!... I do anyway haha
Brett Pitman? I'll let you off and ignore that one..!Maddison definitely would.
Upfront from the limited times I've seen them I think the following have more than enough to contribute:
Kayden Jackson (headed for Ipswich), Tom Bradshaw (12 for Barnsley last season), Kieffer Moore, John Marquis, Josh Maja (more one for the future), Brett Pitmam
A lot of the more suitable alternatives have already gone, it's the deadline tomorrow after all and we've been chasing unattainable targets for 3 months...
Sometimes it's not about them being better than what we have, but having a different option would be nice.
Struggling at Pitman, not going to lie, just know he scored something like 20 last year and has a lot of championship experienceBrett Pitman? I'll let you off and ignore that one..!
John Marquis I have never rated.
Bradshaw and Moore good shouts - although the latter I have seen sparingly so will let others comment further on that.
Who is this Josh Maja fella?
He used the situation with the owners to get an improved deal for him and his team. He could quite possibly be the new puppet for the owners despite claiming he’s ‘not anyone’s boy’.... if there’s one thing the fans don’t like is mixed messages which is what we have been given of late by the man in question.
Reyt load of wank. Basically writing the season off before it’s properly started.I was reight excited for the last couple of days before the deadline. '4 bids', 'not touched the Brooks money' etc.
Very deflating.
I don't understand why we have let our forwards leave until we have replacements lined up. I presume that Wilder was very confident of strengthening but unless we bring in at least one forward (preferably 2) we are left very short.
