I believe you were trying to justify why we hadn't spent more money - by saying that we would so far have received much less than the reported transfer fees.

I'm trying to point out that if we had matched the outgoing fees with incoming ones, the staging of payments would cancel each other out.

Being skint, not finding the right players, McCabe bleeding the club dry, are all possible (I don't subscribe) explanations as to why we've not spent as much as we've brought in.

The staging of payments is not a valid reason.

Got it wrong. The odd minor signing here and there just to keep the majority of the fans off their backs isn't what I call a transfer policy to get the club going forward and get this club promoted .
While McCabe and co keep getting million's in transfer fees and 19000 odd thousand every week he's not going to change .
