It's been a funny old transfer window so far. Wilder said pre season that he wanted his squad in place for the first friendly, which clearly didn't happen. Was that new manager brainfart territory or the owners not backing him? Who knows but since then we have had a mixed bag of 'we are confident of getting a couple in' very certain in tone type comments pre Fleck,Wilson and Clarke for example mixed with 'we are working hard' type guff that we have come to expect over the years with no end product, i. e. Morsey.
Then we had something out of nowhere with Chapman which noone, not even the deepest ITK told us about.

My waters tell me 2 in before deadline. Morgan by all accounts is done and I would be amazed if we don't get another CM. I don't see the Lavery deal getting done which would be a shame but hopefully we have another loan lined up for a pacey winger / striker?

Well I wouldn't say it's hilarious, but it does amuse me and I think in essence its still true, we may tinker around the edges in signing a player like Lavery. Throw the natives a few crumbs to keep them quiet.
