No offers for members or previous season ticket holders then?

Whilst I do see what point you are trying to make, I don't really *get* why you don't just use someones season ticket and bag your tickets for £10?

Do also bear in mind, that if they just said £10 for everyone, they'd have to drop the price for Hartlepool fans from £19.50. They charge us similar amounts, normally more (can't remember what it was this year) to subsidise their cheap season tickets... So on this rare occaision i'm all for keeping the prices high for them.

I was not suggersting that all should get in for £10 and it is a good point about away fans. I really don't personally know any other season ticket holders. Someone has been kind enough to offer on here Unfortunately they will not get their season tickets back till tomorrow and the ticket office will not accept what he sent me.

In that case, don't bother with one next season. In fact if you've spat your dummy out that far, just don't bother going ever again. See if we care. :) (That's only 22,317 tomorrow now. )
Can you see it in North Yorkshire? I cannot get it.

Why should the ticket office make an exception just for you, the offer isnt available to you so just man up and get on with it and stop moaning. I know loads of ST holders that wont be taking 'a friend' me included and I dont believe you dont know anyone . Think you are a bit of a 'Martyr' to your belief that nobody should pay less than you

As above for not knowing anyone. whilst I accept the argument comes from a personal situation, it will also apply to many others so I was not asking them to make an exception just for me. As for your third point I would not have paid full prices for the games that I have been to if I believed that.

As far as I'm aware, you just need their customer number? Mine and Linzs are already used (earlier today), but I've got access to plenty of others who I'd imagine wouldn't mind you quoting their number in the ticket office tomorrow morning.

So I've upset some on here because they think I have a polorised position. Yes in some ways it is . The Difference between me and say Mic is that I will talk to the club and put my point forward so that if is is for the benefit of club and fans they will change it.
I did not think I had a right to ask people who I only know from this message board for their season ticket membership number.

Exactly what he said

You wouldn't have had to ask, people would have offered, as they already have. Ask him for his membership number and you can get one in the morning. And yes, it landed in Harrogate. South Yorkshire champion of dummy spitting. :)

I'd imagine a polite request for any spare "offer" would have produced a number of options :)

If you are fancying tomorrow, give me a shout and I'll check which are still okay to be used.

The point was to draw attention to the unfairness perceived by me (and possibly others ) about this. as the club are now going to review it, then at least that has been achieved. If in the process I have upset a few on here I apologise.
If it only reached Harrogate then your judgement is flawed as some have reached way beyond that from here:D I'm sure if you thought about it you could remember a few;).

Thank you. If I had asked the simple question, maybe the club would not have had a reason for a review. I met a guy in the pub tonight who has given me his customer number. I would like another if anyone would be so kind. I still love our Blades.

Lets get this straight. You are complaining that the club is rewarding people who have proven to be the most loyal supporters (not fans, supporters) of the club, and at the same time try to increase footfall at Bramall Lane. It baffles me when people dont understand that Sheffield United is not a charity. I am afraid to say it, but IT IS A BUSINESS reliant on REVENUE. Season ticket holders are, by definition, the most loyal supporters of the club, and therefore should be the best rewarded BY the club. What is there not to understand about that?
(I am not a season ticket holder at Bramall lane).

Sorry Kingston but how does it reward me? Unless I took my missus (which isn't a reward I can tell you) I would much rather they had sent a voucher for the shop or something.
The only ones benefitting from this are the ones who actually get to pay £10

Bet you're wishing you hadn't met that mate in the pub now aren't you Boo? :)

Lets get this straight. Read the thread, where am I complaining that season ticket holders are being rewarded?
lets get this straight. I used to be a season ticket holder until a change in circumstances and I am likely to be again.
It baffles me that people don't read threads correctly or at least ask for clarification if they cannot be bothered too.
It is a BUSINESS that I have an Interest in that is run in a way that does not upset the second most loyal clients of that BUSINESS.

It s a good point but whilst disappointed with the result and a little by the performance. I got to enjoy the company of another ex season ticket holder who lives away.
I would have been really pissed off if I had paid full price for it.;)

any "new" patrons today wont be going back in a hurry. if they want to increase the gates, they should probably put non fans in a special section facing away from the pitch, maybe watching a movie instead. actually thats not a bad idea. could have a porno corner for the more avant garde perverts who like to freeze their nuts off whilst watching adult material. maybe get a sponsorship deal. the kleenex mansize tissue corner.
