I was thinking about this and I am probably way off the mark but the owners must gain and lose money through investments, fair enough they have there own companies but I bet they’ve invested millions all over the place. Why not both invest £5m a piece with a chance of £45m profit !

I gues the problem is the loser could end up taking the £10m hit plus the wages of whoever we buy. And the ‘stock’ you buy in this window is nearly always overpriced !

They could both gift the money to the club though if they so wished.

IF this is true, why would Wilder bring the subject of strengthening up in his interviews? Surely he’d be better off telling it the way it is and if he needed a positive spin it would be that we’re at least not selling anybody?

Of course if this is true it might be the prelude to another player sale to finance wages and whatever commitments we already have like Norwood. It might explain why a couple of our better players haven’t been 100% on their game, another bloody shambles IF it’s the case.
