That’s the point your missing ?

If Kevin McCabe doesn’t have the money to back united and show ambition just sell up and leave ?
Or is he just interested in having a nice shiny property portfolio
How can he sell the other party wont buy him out, and its very unclear that he has the money either. No one else will want half a club either with the deals in place as Kevin has let the club use the ground an assets for next to nothing, the deal isnt 50/50 ownership like it is on paper as one has all he ground maintenance fees etc on top of putting funds in.

needs sorting between them before its sold

Did anyone expect any better from that set of jokers in the boardroom. It's why SUFC continually punch well below their weight, a succession of total 4th rate Chairman and board.

Everything is going well on the pitch, we've got a terrific manager, in a great position in the league, now is the time to take a sensible punt in the JTW. F*** me we took £12m in the summer for Brooks, where the f*** has that money disappeared too.

All Blades should be up in arms over this but for a lot of our so called fans it'll be a shrug of the shoulders, ho-hum, let's thank KMac for everything he's done for us.

And that would help exactly how?

et's thank KMac for everything he's done for us.

He took over after the idiot McDonald nearly bankrupted us and when no-one else was around.

He funded losses through the early 2000s with no-one else able to shoulder any of the burden.

He appointed Warnock and we got up to the Premier.

He has made some bad decisions managerially but boy has he paid for them. The sales of Blackman, DCL, Walker Maguire merely stemmed the outflows he had to make, but were never enough to repay anything to him.

He sought a strong financial partner for years and again it looks like he chose a wrong 'un. I'm sure you and others will assume he did it deliberatley though.

The man is owed thanks for keeping our club going when no-one else would. People who say 'someone else would have taken over' cannot point to anyone who showed serious interest in pumping millions in over a lengthy period.

Still, why let the facts get in the way of an anti-McCabe rant.

I'd hazard the wildest of wild guesses that the Brooks' money has gone into paying for Egan & Norwood and plugging our annual loses, that currently sit at circa £7m per season. And when I saw 'gone into' I mean the payment in installments has acted as security for loans we've taken out with Shawbrook Bank to pay for Egan & Norwood . :)

Exactly the case, that’s why we are looking at loan deals

I should coco we are talking about the here and now not the last decade of serial under performance. This is our best chance of getting into the premiership since we were releagated and we have an ambitious manager who has made it clear he has taken this team as far as he can without some quality additions.

Our boards response is to allow some loan signings in January and some of us are worried that's not the kind of backing Wilder needs or expects.

I think it's pretty shocking you have the temerity to bring up anything as irrelevant as facts.

Whilst your point about opportunity is bang true unfortunately our owners are locked in a bitter power struggle and there is no way funds for substantial permanent signings will be made available. I actually think loans are absolutely fine if it means we can get the right players in.

Maybe some of us should also be seriously considering where the money for the kind of backing THEY (not Wilder) expects is going to come from :)

I listened to the latest interview and CW admitted it would be loans only. The interveiwer then said I assume these would be loans from the premiership and CW answered in the affirmitive. If we can get players who are on the fringe of premeirship teams that will do for me. No way could we afford to buy these type of players. I agree they might not come up to our expectations like Wilson etc, but we might find a gem.

Wilder will be delighted you've elected to speak on his behalf. Except you are wrong, he will be fucking livid he's being shafted again with regards to backing from the Prince and the Pauper. There's no way he would have sanctioned the Brooks (and Evans/Leonard) move if he wasn't going to see the bulk of it being made available to strengthen the team. The way you make it sound our owners will be first in the queue at the newly inaugurated SUFC food bank.

I hope you'll be very happy by the end of the season when we miss out on promotion again.

SUFC are a big city club, the board of directors (and that applies to just about all of them over the past 50+ years) should start f***ing acting like it. We might then actually starting getting somewhere as a club.

Amen to that sooner Kevin f**** off the better has continuously made mistakes manager after manager he even picked the wrong owner to take over.
He’s just lucky he eventually picked wilder
I don’t buy all this oh he’s a blade so what don’t care whether he’s from Sheffield or Singapore

The Egan signing was in the transfer budget before Brooks was sold, so he was signing anyway. So that's £12m for Brooks (and that deal was the usual spineless roll over and have your tummy tickled SUFC board sale, a proper first rate board would have held out for £25m, we didn't have to sell him) minus the £2m for Norwood, so that's around £10m that's disappeared.

The board and successive boards at United are a shower.

Bad decision - useless

Good decision - pure luck

£7m to run the club, as explained above. Additional wages for new contracts and new signings. Nothing's disappeared. But tell us where it's gone if you think it has?

No one bid £25m btw and only one club made any bid at all. £25m is pure fantasy but looks good.

Picking 6 failed managers in a row is bad decision making
Sorry Shaun Thornton founding member of the Kevin McCabe supporters society

Not arguing with that but Wikder was a good decision. As is managing to keep him at the club when the other co owner tried to foist a DoF on him. Credit where credit is due, even if it makes you you choke just a little bit.

You started the thread saying we weren't signing any players.
Now your position has shifted to that we are only signing squad players.

We ain’t signed no one yet mukka
There won’t be any season changing signings in this window

At best they will only be squad players

So if we get Jermain Defoe and pay his wages say £ 1or 2 million in wages for 6 months.

Better to spunk £ 6 million on a Gary Madine, or £ 10 million on a Jordan Rhodes (plus wages for say a 2 year contract, think 50%more).

Still it's not 'our' money. 'We' are spending gambling.

Same as the the squad was not improved in the summer then ?

You would prefer a NoChancer type owner with shit loads to spend then, oh they spent it all and are now stuck in the shit.

Do you really think CW isn't fully aware of what money is allocated for what purposes and why within the football club?
Isn't there someone in the organisation with the specific role of transmitting information and requirements between joint-owners and football management?
