No excuses now Selles, You have signed the players you wanted and can play the formation you want lets see if you understand formations, tactics and can get the players onside.

Not saying disagree - he’s certainly now had some backing l. It was 2 months too late. Still massive gaps though.

We are still very short for playing his ideal formation.

LW Barry
LW (2) - an out of position One (NGE)

RW - Brooks (Raw and NGE)
RW (2) - an massively out of position Cannon (dogshit winger)

Were an injury to Barry away from playing 2 players who aren’t even average championship players in there position yet.

He will get free pass from the board for Boro and Ipswich away but he now absolutely has to beat Charlton at home or he’s surely toast.

Being generous he’ll get the sept international break to work with the squad but if results don’t improve he’ll be gone and a replacement manager in to work with the squad during the October break.

Whilst I agree with your thread title, I don’t expect anything today

Players will need a short amount of time to bed in, gel etc

I’m expecting nothing less than another tough day at the office

If we get somat I’ll be elated

They’re are always excuses…owners, recruitment, players, fans, sandwiches etc…

My concern isn’t so much the results.

Let’s not forget Wilder lost 3 consecutive matches against very weak opposition last season….shit happens. However apart from most of the 1st half against Bristol City and the last 10 minutes against Millwall we’ve looked bottom half material.

So generally even the performances have been consistently poor.

However I’m looking for signs of method in the madness. Makes me wonder if the players are concentrating too much on “following instructions” instead of using their instincts to play a game of football as best they can.

Tactics should be general, not down to micro management so responsibility is taken away from players.
