No Excuses Not to GO to Wembley

The point made by JJ is that no other club does it like we do, which isn’t true, Southampton sold their tickets in a very similar, nearly identical way to us.
And that would make sense for them for the reasons mentioned.
We've got 100 miles further to travel and a fanbase that's become allergic to playoffs.

Just because London and Southampton are both in the south, it doesn’t mean it’s local. A quick look on google maps says it’s about 2 hours to Wembley by car from Southampton and 3 hours from Sheffield. Geography isn’t going to make much of a difference.

I doubt there will be many that follow through with promises to never go to a playoff final again. Not enough to make it a factor in how the club sells tickets

We were s hit afterwards and those fans are still there 😉 It is possible that Sheffield United have hit upon a revolutionary new idea that the rest of the corporate world rejects but I somehow doubt it.
It's kind of simple - there's two groups of fans that are not currently going to games that might do. It is:

a) fans that will not go when we are shit
b) fans that might go regardless if we offer what they want

Now for a, and I'm not going to go back hugely historically, but it was mostly shit for some time prior to Deane and Agana. Was OK for a short time, then shit, briefly on/off shit during the triple assault then Warnock PL season, then universally shit until Wilder spell one. Since then, it's been not shit - there have been bad seasons, but that we have been offering PL football in those seasons, having earned it, does not flip us to "shit". We have been not shit for close to a decade, yet you imagine that people will start coming during probably the longest not shit period we have had for half a century if and only if they can get a Wembley ticket. That is laughable.

On b, that is on account of the average available walk up ticket being either in the BLUT (which is mostly fine), or primarily singles in an outdated terrace that has had seats bolted onto it with massive numbers of restricted views seats (which is not fine), but that's an argument for another thread which has been done before

Maxfields are running coaches to Wembley £55 dropping off at Stanmore tube station which is two stops away from Wembley, So might make it a bit more easier getting away after.
Pick up Maxfields, Crystal Peaks, Handsworth Penny Black and Bridge inn pub Rotherham.

Have no idea if this is a good price and no i don't work or have any affiliation with them, just putting it out there because a few have been mentioned about getting away from Wembley coach park.

Wanna bet?

Going in as favourites, played so we’ll in the semis, and how many chances will we ever get to go into a final as favourites to see us win 100 years after our last.

The potential outweighs the negatives of losing… can you image the extacy of being there and finally watching us win a champ flay off final!

It’s happening
But iT MiGhT be SuNny

Yeah I’ll harvest my magic money tree for a ticket.

To those who can go, great and have a fantastic day.

But I’m sick and tired of this “no excuses” shit.

My excuse is a mortgage with one wage coming in since Ms Crab rather inconveniently died on me. Frankly I’m fucking sick of being made to feel a lesser blade for that
I may be able to give you 2 kids and 1 adult customer number
If you need them

It's close to, but not one of the two Travelodge airport hotels. It's actually in Hounslow. (which I'm led to believe is one of the nicer parts of London?). There is an underground route nearby - Hounslow West, East and Central on the Piccadilly line.
Maybe I've heard "Down in the tube station at midnight" too many times :D
Jesus Christ it's been a couple of years since I was in London but if Hounslow is one of the nicer parts, then London really is fucked.

Man alive. Last time I stayed at a hotel in and around Hounslow it was like downtown Mogadishu!

That’s very kind of you but I’ll be ok thank you. I’ll probably go down to the Nelson to watch it. The beers are cheaper 😂😂
The beers are almost certainly better in’t Nelson too!

Think of us when you’re enjoying a nice Staropromen, with our £9.50 warm Budweiser or whatever other pisswasser they serve at Wembley these days…
Swings and roundabouts buddy. You’ll be the ones who are there if we break our play off duck 👍

Sorry folks, but I said never again after 2009, and seen as though I can barely drag my substantial arse all of 5 miles to the Lane these days, I can confirm that another expensive and potentially hearbreaking excursion to the most soul less corner of North London will provide me with an ample excuse not to go.

Whilst this Firestick and IPTV combination has saved me a ton of money and made watching football infinitely more convenient, it's pretty much had the same effect as X-Hamster has on my sex life. Why bother, when you really don't have to?

However I really do adore all you lads and lasses who will be there. And rest assured that I will be chewing my nails off and pacing around the house all fucking day pre and during the match, so whatever happens you will probably have a much better day than I do anyway.
Never a problem dropping from being a supporter and fan to being a keen follower. Hope the other teams you follow do well for you too

We don't need an excuse not to go or your advice about it either.

Many of us love the club but might have fallen out of love with the game, badge thumping, narcissism, some of our characters, boozy and drugged up ar**holes ruining previous Wembley events, ridiculous prices and the pathetic bigger Blade mentality.

Do us all a favour and knock it off? If you're going, enjoy it and hope we win. If you're not, and for whatever reason, I'm sorry you have to put up with this nonsense.

Some of us took the red and white tinted glasses off years ago. I'll give you some advice. The club doesn't and will never love you or see you in the same way you see it. You're 'a punter' apparently.

Love football. Love the club but not in love with it.

And I'm far from alone in that.
Slightly off topic but I don't like that punters comment that's used all the time , it was spectators last night , I'm not sure he'd like to be referred to as the employee

Never followed another team mate, including England.

100% (armchair) Blade, who does still get to the Lane occasionally.

I’ve already stated why I won’t be going in another thread. Prior financial commitments mean it’s an expense too far. I’ve spent a small fortune over the years watching United. Not this time.

And if anyone wants to call me out on that then my best advice to them is to go fuck themselves.
Can I have your tkt number

I won't be going. I'd love to, but since we moved to a tourist destination we always get visitors that week. And our guests are arriving at 5ish in the 24th. I might not even get to watch the fucking game.

I've got the money to go, but just can't possibly justify an expensive and long flight over from the US for one game of football (even though it is a big game).

I'm sure some people will be travelling from even further afield, but not for me.

A tad jealous of those who will be there in person though.
