Going in as favourites, played so we’ll in the semis, and how many chances will we ever get to go into a final as favourites to see us win 100 years after our last.

The potential outweighs the negatives of losing… can you image the extacy of being there and finally watching us win a champ flay off final!

Sorry folks, but I said never again after 2009, and seen as though I can barely drag my substantial arse all of 5 miles to the Lane these days, I can confirm that another expensive and potentially hearbreaking excursion to the most soul less corner of North London will provide me with an ample excuse not to go.

Whilst this Firestick and IPTV combination has saved me a ton of money and made watching football infinitely more convenient, it's pretty much had the same effect as X-Hamster has on my sex life. Why bother, when you really don't have to?

However I really do adore all you lads and lasses who will be there. And rest assured that I will be chewing my nails off and pacing around the house all fucking day pre and during the match, so whatever happens you will probably have a much better day than I do anyway.

Not been to Wembley since 2009 v Burnley (except for a stone roses concert), had little to no interest in the play off's since having made some epic trips back for games prior to that.

I'd made plans for the play off final weekend months ago and whilst they'd understand if I cancelled and possibly expect me to, I'm looking forward to that weekend. I won't be at Wembley

Yeah I’ll harvest my magic money tree for a ticket.

To those who can go, great and have a fantastic day.

But I’m sick and tired of this “no excuses” shit.

My excuse is a mortgage with one wage coming in since Ms Crab rather inconveniently died on me. Frankly I’m fucking sick of being made to feel a lesser blade for that

You are no lesser Blade my friend. UTB

I’ve already stated why I won’t be going in another thread. Prior financial commitments mean it’s an expense too far. I’ve spent a small fortune over the years watching United. Not this time.

And if anyone wants to call me out on that then my best advice to them is to go fuck themselves.

…and the Roses were shit that day as well. 🙇

You are no lesser as are anyone who can't go, I think this is aimed at anyone who can go who chooses not to go, I hope that's what they mean.

So what if people can go but choose not to? It's their choice, their are no rules. It doesn't mean they're not fans. I hate this arrogant, egotistical "I'm bladier than thou" crap. If you are going then go, you don't need others to approve this for you and you don't need to a narcissist and feel the need to look down on others as a result.

I had a look at flights today for me and my son but then realised it’s a bad and expensive idea. More chance of winning if I’m not there anyway!
Flights booked for Espoo Blade & Son, although tickets from Helsinki probably a bit cheaper than from Houston and having "free" accommodation down South at my sister's pad does ease the burden somewhat!

Hoping this will finally be the first United match we watch together...he did get to go and see the 3-3 with Fulham wth my mates, but I got rushed to the Northern General with serious breathing issues- Hopefully better luck this time! 🤣

After last night I was considering all sorts of plans to try and be there... but think my 2 kids would be a tad disappointed if instead of a holiday they end up in North London....

I hope it's an amazing day, I hope we fill it out and people talk for years of 'that' day at Wembley... but realistically there are so many reasons for people not to go and that's fine. If it was a cup final, I think your thread might hold more weight. It's a play off final for a season many of us ended up hoping to go up automatically.

I was not entirely comfortable until the 2nd goal went in last night. That’s because at the weekend I booked accommodation for that weekend. That wasn’t done out of Piggy style arrogance or entitlement, rather I’d spent the weekend watching accommodation prices spiralling upwards so decided to take a punt. Very glad I did now, once the tickets are procured tomorrow I can relax & look forward to it.

Would love to go but thanks to it being organised on a bank holiday weekend, flights alone cost £800, even before hotels etc. So I’ll have to settle for a few beers and a BBQ. Hope all who do go have a great time UTB

Well there is one, the fact you need an accredited purchase history with SUFC and 200 points. We (season tickets and thousands of points) were planning on going with some mates from London (who have been to blades games in sheff before but don't have a registered history) and their kids. My brother who lives in Watford was going to bring his 6 year old daughter for first time but she's won't be allowed in now.

So daft because there will be loads of extended friends and family who for whatever reason don't have a registered account and points.

I remember for the Hull semi I bought tickets for three people who had no account including a Belgian bloke. All three became big blades fans.

4,000 miles and 1,000 quid for a day at Wembley... unfortunately I can't make it, and I'm gutted.

The 5.30pm ko killed me

Made it a to few away days this year including Bristol city twice. Unfortunately I'm at work that Saturday so can't make it. Will be watching a dodgy stream in the van though 😭. Safe travels for all of you going down there. Song loud and proud
