It was sarcasm LWe’d have to buy him first.
…..and no shots on targetYou can’t keep going longer sat on 0 points with no goal threat.
Using Traore as a marker when he never played in the championship is abit disingenuous no?
As someone above as said, it's £5million not £50million. What do you think we're going to get for £5m?
Someone for the future, definitely, but we need to get a few lads in who will make us better right now, not towards the end of the season or next year. I'd be stunned if he would go in and deliver straight from the start. I sort of like the signing, but only if we sign more qualified and experienced players who we come in and deliver straight from the start of the season. He is one for the future - not even clocked up 40 senior games in the Swedish league (the 23rd in Europe, behind leagues from Cyprus, Czech Republic, Israel and Serbia). Very good and promising, but just want to put it into perspective in terms what to expect from him.
July verdict. Im still sort of positive long-term, but not for Sheff Utd and not in England. His style of play will probably fit better elsewhere.
It quite different, actually. Anel was an experienced international with Bosnia/Sweden, and had played in the top league in three different countries, including French Ligue 1. Also performed well over a longer period of time.
Traoré have not really proven anything apart from doing well in a team that dominated the league (offensively) last year. They play an attacking 4-3-3 system where he is one of the forwards/winger with almost only attacking duties. This, in combination with the best midfield in the league and high possession allows him to excel. Im not convinced how quick he could adjust to our formation, and how he would manage PL level in addition to playing for a underdog side that will have to battle rather than anything else. Although, he could come in handy when we are pressed and need someone quick on the counter![]()
Well this sounds extra promising...I will gladly share my views and elaborate on this tomorrow or later this week - in the meantime, let's keep it short and simple: NO.
Based on those stats perhaps we should play him on the wing. The two things he seems good at is dribbling the ball and winning the ball high up the pitch. Here are his numbers from the Swedish Allsvenskan. Bear in mind these are league percentiles, so for any of the red bars, that means he's one of the poorest performing compared only to other centre backs in the Allsvenskan.
To put in context, as said before - Pontus Jansson is considered one of the best CBs in the league. The quality of the Allsvenskan is generally comparable to League One.
Nils Zätterström is in the bottom 20% for being dispossessed, winning tackles, winning duels, interceptions, and recoveries.
Despite being 6 foot 4, he also has one of the lowest aerial win rates in the league. His aerial win % of 48% is lower than Sydie Peck's (who is 5 foot 8).
If we want to sign him and send him on loan to League Two, fair enough. But he's not the answer to the shit sandwich of this season.

Sorry should have mentioned, this is per 90 minutes - so total time played doesn't influence anything.655 minutes of football btw, of course his stats are worse
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but surely per 90 stats are based on the total time played? So more minutes is a larger amount of possible 90’s?Sorry should have mentioned, this is per 90 minutes - so total time played doesn't influence anything.
You're really down on the kidSorry should have mentioned, this is per 90 minutes - so total time played doesn't influence anything.

Sweden isn’t in the Eurozone. No idea which currency they’d want the fee in but kr30m is £2.32m.Any reports on what they want for him?
£2.5m is close €3m
Yeah and I feel harsh doing it, as I did in the Tom Cannon thread before it happened, but he's not at the level. Not sure what the club are seeing. You're really down on the kid
Wonder why the club seems so hellbent on signing him if he is such a dud
Sydie Peck 5 foot 8? What magic beans have you been eatingHere are his numbers from the Swedish Allsvenskan. Bear in mind these are league percentiles, so for any of the red bars, that means he's one of the poorest performing compared only to other centre backs in the Allsvenskan.

It's what the SUFC website says, maybe he had a growth spurt. Probably shouldn't be better in the air than a 6"4 centre-back, regardless.Sydie Peck 5 foot 8? What magic beans have you been eating
