Additional funds are surely irrelevant because of the Salary Cap rules.

Not so sure.

Mr Nigeria sponsors the Jessica Ennis stand to the tune of $200m and that has to be shown in our revenue/turnover, which should reflect in an increase in salary cap

Isn't that what the owners of Man City did when sponsoring the Etihad stadium to the tune of £200m?

don't tell me.. we have to send them 5 million first

tie up with abuja united coming soon

That would o

That would only count towards next season, not this season which i think is what broomers is driving at.

Nigeria uses the Naira. the figure quoted must be US Dollars.

We're rich!

Rich I tell ya! :)

PS. I bet the pigs are wetting themselves seeing this.

I understand we have to deposit £10m into Mr Nigerias account first, in order for SUFC to get the $500m. Apparantly it's standard practice!

does this mean we can now play cresswell and use monty to fill the hole left by mr quinn?now we have no money problems.

Very amusing seeing how many dissolved companies he has been a director of per Companies House.

Omniscient Petroleum plc
The House of Osei-Tutu Limited (a fashion label for haute -couture men)

Love United - Hate McCabe

If you've got a couple of days to spare, these Scam Baiter letters are worth a read. I'm particualrly fond of the Our Lady Of Perpetual Flatulence Holy Church and the Rev Stu Pidass.

We actually call it vanilla.

Still, McCabe wouldn't sell to anyone dodgy :)

I thought the separation of BDTBL from Ltd to plc was meant to attract investment into the Ltd Co not plc?

All the dissolved companies are registered at a terraced house in Lambeth.

Is it Geoff Sheards Nigerian cousin?

Oh crap, we are doomed to joke investors like the pigs were.

omniscient petroleum ffs!..the stephen fry of petrols..
glad i switched to diesel.. don't want some know it all petrol spying on me :)

He has been "invited" so nothing signed and sealed yet - The $500 mill is for all the group not just the football club

We'll get tuppence farthing then...

Must admit the cynic in me feels the same. Can't see it being more than finance to reboot Scarborough's property portolio plans with the potential doors that owning a football club opens up as in Hungary and China. We may get some token sponsorship deals out of it ( anything is welcome I suppose) but I won't hold my breath on us being the next Man City.

All sounds a bit dodgy to me. Even if it isn't I doubt we'll see any of this investment on the pitch. It's just a smoke screen to hide the news we've sold our best player.....again. :(

Just as importantly as the first team squad, does this mean that some if not all of the employees at BDTBL that could potentially lose there jobs will not be fired? Great news if that applies.

...How many Nigerian dollars to the £?..
Well, the symbol for the naira is so it might be possible the website was unable to represent the symbol and replaced it with the $ symbol o_O ?????

If it is ₦500,000,000 then it actually works out at just shy of £2,000,000; yep, just 2million - however, if Zlatan is right, $500,000,000 U.S. is approx. £300,000,000. Naturally, most of us would truly hope Zlatan is correct with the latter, but the cynical Blade in me is leaning towards the former

UTB!

That would be £299,999,999 to go to Scarborough Holdings and any left over cash goes to the SUFC PLC.

Don't they have to report these things to the stock exchange in euros/£/USD, so if it was Nigerian tingtongs they would have to state that
