Bleedin hell we have had worse managers at the lane than Adkins, he had to manage here with one arm tied behind his back and a complete shambles left behind by Clough. The trouble was apart from signing Sharpe he did nothing else right, his signing of Woolford and Hammond just added to the dead wood on long and well paid contracts that were never going to move on until the end of the season. (I don't blame Sammon on him, I think that deal was done by Clough and we couldn't get out of it ) His post match interviews really pissed the fans off, most saw through him quickly and recognised him for the bullshitter he is. Just the wrong time for him to be our manager but he might do OK elsewhere good luck to him it was just not going to work for him here.

Coming out of the Lane towards the end of the Adkins season, I can’t quite remember which terrible game it was, might have been Burton, I was behind two older fellas having a right rant, one of them said..

“As for Adkins I am sick of the sight of him and sick of hearing from him, he’s an absolute Bozo!”

I laughed out loud as ‘Bozo’ is a word I hadn’t heard probably since episodes of Rentaghost or the like in the 80’s.

Thinking about it later though I decided that “Bozo” was actually the perfect word to describe the fool supposed to be our manager, ever since I have referred to him as Bozo Adkins.
