Hi ghandi, from what you've written, and to avoid disappointment on your part, NC has made it clear that the JTW will mainly consist of loans. I suppose that shouldn't rule out buying players, but Nigel has already stated that it's the summer when serious wheeling and dealing will happen.

I think the summer is the time to splash the cash - if we have any?

New [better] players should have an impact but this season we're too far off the pace [we'll get 51ish points].
By next season their enthusiasm for the new club could have dropped off given that they could be playing for the exciting prospect of finishing around 14th.
Better to bring them in during the summer so their influence has more effect and get them chasing promotion from the start of being with us.

Also managers won't have sussed out how we play [with the new players]to stop us next season.
Lets get loans in now to help save us from relegation and to let us stabilise.

NC has made a good start but fans are right to maintain a sense of perspective about his ability to lift the club from a low base, not just to mid table but higher tiers. The good start includes sorting out the bloated squad by choosing the right players to move on and the Paynter signing is another good move IMO.

As mentioned in the OP, for the future the important thing is that NC has all the tools to get on with the job. All the top men in the management structure will be singing from the same songsheet . All the coaching team are his men plus Morgan who seems to be relishing his opportunity. The board seem delighted he has joined us and seem to have the cash to support him when needed.

If he were sitting down with a blank piece of paper and plotting the perfect model and his position in it, I think it would be pretty much as it is now. Good luck to him and us; let's make sure the fans' bit in the scenario fits the model.
