Slightly too far at the minute i think, although from what iv heard looked a good player with some promising potential!

Every time I have seen him play he looks better. Saw him at the Academy last year and he was good, but he's come on a lot in the last 12 months. You can see why Spurs were sniffing round him.

You know full well what he means. Body, two each of arms, eyes, legs, ears, all in the same kind of layout to Tonge. That similar. Both wear the same kit, they both play for Sheffield United too.

In the way they both ask for the ball on the half way line and make space to recieve it. They both seem to keep the ball well under pressure.

Obviously im not saying Law is at Tonge's standered yet but with a little more confidence he could be soon.

Law is more direct and willing to shoot.......something Tonge seems to have stopped doing.

Although we didn't really see him doing that yesterday.

Just think it's hard to compare them.

Maybe then but everytime ive seen Law he has reminded me of Tonge.

i think he's a great player for his age. i hope we don't let him out on loan to anyone though because hes proved that he can get in the 16.

Since 2003,

He started doing more work for the team at back of last season though granted, but in own honest opinion, he is a lazy player (Well at least in reference coming back)

I think that's harsh, his lack of pace may make him appear to be lazy but Tonge has a good work ethic for an attacking midfielder.

Perhaps I am being harsh on him, but he does seem lazy to me. And as for an attacking midfielder which he should be, he is not that good at creating anything for us thus far. Injury or no injury, he doesn't deserve his place in the side as it stands

Again i beg to differ, the midfield was dreadful against Bolton and i would put a fit again Michael Tonge in before Monty, Leggy and Keef every time.

The lack of competition means he is our best midfield option, and very little creativity is better then no creativity which is what you get with Leggy and Monty i'm afraid.

I dont really understand to be honest, how can you call him lazy? He does a hell of alot of work for a central midfield player. I wouldnt call him an attacking mid either, more of the carrick type player imo.

As for saying he doesnt deserve his place? Why not? Ok he hasnt been at his best but he is by far the best option we have in central midfield. Lets remember he hasnt been fully fit all season and the movement infront of him is hardly good enough for him to put to the ball through.

Give him time and he will come good, you have to ask the question who would you rather have? Monty and Leggy in midfield together or Tonge with one of them.

This is a random bump, but yes, scored two at the weekend I believe. Motherwell, Bradford and others along the way suggest it wasn't always plain sailing.

Aye when Warnock gave him his debut against Man U and he did well I was really excited about him.Still he's had a career.

The way his career has gone reminds me of another Chesterfield born ex-Blade in Kevan Hurst. Both not quite good enough at the time despite showing early promise and ended up having lengthy lower league careers.

No doubt Law will have earned between £2k and £5k per week for the entirety of his career, I know when he went to Rangers from Motherwell he dropped down 3 divisions and doubled his money in the process. Not a bad career if he's looked after his money.
