This is a good suggestion and I'm all for it. I've watched him a few times the last couple of years and he's always looked a decent player at this level. Won't turn out a great performance every time by does have some quality and can hurt teams. Well worth bringing in as a useful option.

Decent player but I'd have thought a new striker would be low on on the priority list given the options already at the club.

I'd much rather them target a new GK, 2/3 x CB, LB, DMC, AMC, and pacy & skillful LM & RM

Can't agree there. If owt happens to BS, we struggle

We have options, but not enough quality

We need at least one more striker with the quality to contribute on a regular basis at this level

Yes, we also need to strengthen defence and midfield, but they also need to contribute with goals. Their contribution was poor last season.

After all, goals make prizes

Personally, I think there is sufficient quality for L1 with Sharp, Adams, Done and even McNulty. If they did add another they'd need to be a bigger target man which will also rule out Ajose. There will be limited budget available for new recruits and I'd much rather CW sorts out the rest of the spine first

To quote Warnock "you can never have enough strikers"

The problem with our lot is that up to now only BS gives us the return we expect from a front man. None of the others for me give us enough to be a promotion winning team and as I said above, if owt happens to BS we're fked

On top of that, we lack goals all over the park. We didn't score enough this last season and unless we address that along with the other issues we have, then we will continue to struggle imho

Agree with that, we need midfield players who can score, wingers who can score and defenders who can score from set pieces and corners.

I was swayed with the warnock quote about "you can never have enough strikers" but I think you're right.
None of the recently promoted sides have a better goal scorer than sharp and very few have had an exciting prospect like Che.
Let's not forget that our strikers have played in front of the least goal threatening and creative midfielders I've ever seen at the lane.
Personally I want a new keeper, new wingers, center half... The list goes on, but I think a Connor coady/McDonald/McCall/Speed type player should be our main target.

Of course we need another striker. A tall mobile one who can hold the ball up is a must.

Ah, McNulty. A few goals in Division Four and he just gets better and better. The anonymous, lazy fucker who can't control a bag of sand is just a hazy memory...

I hear we maybe talking to Simon Church the non scoring forward that we need?! The type of player we should be staying away from IMO

Craig Beattie?
No?

James Beattie?
Ah ha...

Knows the Blades, loved the fans, the fans loved him, Big mates with Captain.
No Clough here to tell him off about hes no. plate.

Sorry lads, it's a non-starter.
Flu.

I would bin Done ( lost 2 yards of pace) and McNulty and bring in a striker like Ajose plus a bigger, stronger striker to play upfront with Sharp / Ajose.

IMHO Sharp & Adams upfront just doesn't work and Adams is still a young player, with loads to learn ( can't trap a bag of cement ) so he can be an impact player off the bench until he learns the trade.

Most of the names on the League One list are the ones that most of the people on here have been banging on about all season, if only the S24SU forum members were employed as scouts at BDTBL

How much would Roofe cost?
I've not seen him play but I've heard good things.
I'm guessing we'd get him for much less than Bradshaw? Not that I'm trying to save us money if we're willing to spend it.

Oxford seem quite well off. It'd be more than a million now.

Many of that list I would guess would cost decent money and that's where we as a club currently fall flat and I would also guess that a number of the best ones whilst maybe wanting to leave their present club, will possibly want to fast track themselves to a higher division especially the lge 1 list

Gone back to Swindon on loan from Charlton, and Charlrton quickly got another rated player in to take his place from Arsenal and under 23 prospect with a strange name Mezididi or summat like that.
