Nick Montgomery!

Another fine performance from Mr Montgomery.

I like most fans have taken several years to be convinced with this guy, but for me he was our best player tonight. His passing is definately improving and at times going forward he looked very decent.

He made Howard look like a numpty, and who would have thought that 12 months ago!

Also....applause for Quinny tonight, came on and for me got United going.


On the downside, the first half was the worst 45 minutes football i've seen since we lost 3-0 at home to stoke.....

Monty is finally getting the praise he deserves.
As a kid he was useful on the ball. He had a lot of ability.
Perhaps, due to the role he was asked to play under Warnock, he had some aspects of his game 'coached' out of him,
He now looks far more comfortable and he is turning good performances in consistantly week after week.
After all, a few years ago a certain Mr Wenger said how much he rated Monty and I reckon he is a pretty decent judge of a player.
Monty may never be a Van Persie or a Bergkamp but he will do for me.
