With all the extra midweek games next season in the Championship now there going to be a winter break for the world cup how are they going to squeeze the cup games in.

Without looking up the stats, what is the likelihood of Championship teams having 3 (threshold for a L1/L2 postponement) players in the World Cup group stage? Surely with a 46 game season already to squeeze in they could have done it on a game by game basis depending on the teams without wiping the whole league out for 4 weeks.

Sheffield United, England are a welcome distraction in tournaments, that’s about it.

That said I will hopefully be attending next years’ World Cup.
