As I said yesterday, most bets at the mo are just speculative fivers and tenners based on rumour. As soon as any real information is known, the market will move significantly and it's rarely wrong as was shown with the Speed gamble over the weekend. OK, they get it wrong now and again as when Warnock threw them a dummy for Pompey but as you say, there could have been other forces at work in that market

I think the reason you couldn't do it on BU was because of Bladesbet. We don't run a betting company so no conflict of interest here

Plays decent football with his sides.
Why would Birch say he would be difficult to get?....He's only a few months into the job himself.

Having lived in Bristol and had Bristol City supporting mates I know all about Gary Johnson. The man has a big ego without the achievements to back it up. He also had some very unkind words for us on a couple of occasions but that's beside the point.....
He had one good season in the Championship when they were still riding the feel good factor of getting promoted from L1. If there is anyone I could cross off a possible list right now it would be him! I would rather Stan Ternent get it!!!!

It might just be that words got out that we've approached Port Vale and they've agreed to let him talk. Obviously he'd jump at the chance but that's not to say Donny won't let us talk to SO'D tomorrow.

Yeh possibly Jim. Perhaps the bookies are just covering their arse on this one for the time being but normally something is in the offing when this happens. Adams is my preferred choice anyway so I would be happy.

He certainly ticks some of the Birch boxes from yesterday although I wouldn't have said he was 'an outstanding candidate' as he put it. Not sure about his style of play these days but it was never pretty when he was last in this division. Definitely a Warnock type appointment though.
Price dropped to 5/2 at Victor's now too
