Are you surprised ?
We have just pissed away our future , which looked golden only 2 years ago.
I can't believe gates are staying this high.
We all know what's coming + it's direction ain't up
One thing I can’t knock us for is the attendance home and away .

Sometimes I can get caught up in the frustration of a game, but generally I don't want to see booing and abuse of players, regardless of the performance. Some of the red faced huffing, poofing and ranting by grown men is embarrassing. But if they want to hear my beautiful singing voice, they've got to earn it.

gates are only staying this high because of 21k season ticket holders being counted in the attendance whether their there or not and 2500 away fans every game if it was all pay we would be lucky to get 20k through the turnstyles the way were playing of course i blame the red socks weve never done owt wearing them 😉

I was at a game yesterday. Where the home team were 3 nil down at HT (that's how it finished). The home supporters never stopped singing & encouraging all game. A full repertoire of songs, call & response, smiles on their faces all game. At the end of the game, all the home team & staff went over to that stand. A senior player (the keeper as it happens) went close to the fence. While all the others listened from a little further away. There was a frank exchange of views between the keeper & the home "singing section". Fingers were pointed. It went on for ten minutes. (Guessing here) The fans were pointing out they'd been singing all game, loud n proud. And they didn't think the team had put a shift in. Slowly, it calmed down a bit & understandings were reached. The fans started singing again at the top of their voice. Superb. And the team & staff made their way to the dressing rooms. Connections through the club.

Obviously, the game wasn't in England.

So I'm not sure what your point is.

I get they don’t deserve it.But let’s do our bit and make the atmosphere electric for the next few home games
It’s the managers job to inspire the players and the team to inspire the fans not the other way round, the fans react to the teams performance and lift them higher. We’ve all be to a sh!t party with no one dancing, no atmosphere even though there’s booze, food, music etc. you can’t just instruct the party goes to create an electric atmosphere and suddenly you’re at the best party ever.

Edit, metaphor alert

That's spooky, I was at a game very, very similar yesterday evening.

I think we have inherited alot of ‘premier league’ supporters over last couple of years which is natural but when things start getting a bit rough on pitch these top flight supporters wont be around to back the lads im afraid
Jump ship when it gets tough ? It’s been horrendous for 18 months.

There is a lot of terrace/curva culture where the fans take the lead. They do not need the team to be playing well to sing, non-stop through 90 minutes, but they also have a chance to voice their concerns to the club & staff AFTER the 90. I know that's not the English way. Fair enough. But it's a good way.

I say fair play to the 25K+ who turn up each home game
It’s called loyalty, the football bar a few fits and starts hasn’t been great yet they still turn up to support our team home and away in big numbers
If we were only getting 15-20 k these same fans would be giving out about our stay at home fans not showing up
No pleasing some folk it seems

would we be getting 25k if we hadnt got 21k season ticket holders dublin ? i very much doubt it

Theres over 20k ST holders. Next season we will be lucky to have 15/16k. We all expected far more this season

Think it depends on pricing.
I wasn’t going to renew this season, don’t mind paying on the day
I’m a decent supporter, will always go to at least 66% of home matches no matter how crap we are, even if we were in league 2 I’d still go to most games
but I’m no mug, if the entertainment is low then I tend to miss a few matches…makes me feel better regards mental health.

In the past there wasn’t much of a saving between season ticket pricing and match day pricing
but now ST’s are a huge saving, even if you miss quite a lot of games it’s still cost effective buying a season ticket.

I spoke to a few around me on the Kop and they said they were tempted NOT to renew but the pricing is so temptingly low they couldn’t resist.
So as long as ST’s are frozen or have a small nominal increase next season then I’ll definitely be renewing.
If theres a large increase in line with match day prices then I might decline and switch to pick and choose pay on the day.

Depends on how the rest of the season pans out , we have a good jan window , team starts playing better once the older players leave ( who’ve served us well in the past ) sell 1or 2 then kick on I reckon we could see good crowds next season as well , but let’s be honest 99% of Blades didn’t expect to be were we are or the players to be so mentally shot / shit as they are now

Agree with just about all of that pal but where the fuck did you pull ‘66%’ from. Randomly brilliant 👍

Most of the Kop fans have Sat/Stood in the same position for 40-50 years they’re past that chanting game now even H block have fallen silent.
Back in the day John St West was vocal good job as the Kop lost its voice mid 70s

Fed up of this myth that we gained about 14,000 glory supporters from 2 seasons in the premier league (1 horrendous with no fans)

i very much doubt the club will be able to keep season ticket prices this low next season and if as seems likely its a mid table position this season i think we will be lucky to get 16k in season ticket sales and then the club will have to be much cuter with matchday pricing seing as theyve overcharged for most games this season

Maybe not quite 14k. But yes we gained thousands its not a criticism its just fact, and its natural . The problem with these type of ‘supporters’ is, they wont be around long when it goes tits up
