i think if wilder does go we need a younger more positive progressive manager rosenior and edwards fit that criteria for me

Regarding Blessin, if he's still on our radar does he perhaps meet UK work permit criteria now it has been a few more years of him managing top flight clubs in at least 3 European leagues for over 2-3 years now? Or is there other criteria he still doesn't meet?

Dyche is definitely not a failure. His football is not everyone’s cup of tea but he kept Burnley afloat with a £10 budget for years. Kept Everton up twice despite massive off field problems. Unlucky to be seen in the way he is.

Not saying I want Dyche but I don't get people turning their nose up at him when he's been more successful than Wilder playing a similar way to how we are now
If we appointed yesterday’s man Sean Dyche as our next manager it would severely test my loyalty to the club. He failed pitifully at Everton, his “style” of football has aged like milk and he’s possibly even more self-absorbed and egotistical than Wilder.

IMO Wilder will still be in charge first day of next season, whichever league we are in. If they do make a change then the man they want is Steve Cooper.

Absolute madness to turn your nose up at Dyche. With the realistic funds we'll have he's probably one of half a dozen with an actual chance of keeping us up.

I'd go with Steve Bracknall, he's not got experience at our level but it would be a laugh and a probably bit more of a professional set up than under Wilder

Unfortunately he's probably out of reach now unless we get promoted. He's managed Belgian Club USG in the Champions League. Currently manager at St Pauli in the Bundesliga and looks like he is going to keep them up with the smallest budget. Rumours Wolfsburg have him on their radar. Also managed in Serie A with Genoa so he now has all the work permit credentials required. He would be my choice if a change occurs with a complete overhaul of the club including appointment of Sporting Director responsible for recruitment/ contracts and Blessin as Head Coach. Add in significant investment in post injury recovery medical facilities and the club is better prepared to compete in the EPL on and off the field. Much will depend on COH's plan if and when we get to hear about it.

Nothing screams The Blades Way than appointing someone as manager who was good 3 years ago....

I keep going back to it, but we have Wilders entire backroom team, his best mate as Head of Recruitment - what we expecting to happen if we get rid? We've tied our colours to the Wilder mast, and until we appoint a DoF and change our infrastructure completely, we're in a bit of a corner on this one..... What are some people expecting to happen?

Exactly my point. We can't/won't appoint any of these coaches because we don't have the supporting infrastructure.

We brought Slav to coach the first team and he clearly didn't get the memo that buying players, booking friendlies (remember that preseason?!?!), managing contracts are also on the manager's JD here....

Can’t they fast track it like what they’re doing with Christian Nwhatshisface
No idea. I was just being facetious based on all the permit ralk when he was linked before.

It is truly amazing how some people are more interested in what a coach has done for someone else, rather than what they might do for United in the future. It's also truly amazing the percentage of the forum that have a love in for Cooper, that's come truly out of left field

Steve Cooper is a choice of many. Sacked at Forest and then sacked at Leicester.

Not really the recipe for us becoming 'an established Premier league club'.

Edin Terzic
Maurizio Sarri
Stefano Pioli
Jurgen klopp.

I presume we’d need 500 million to spend on players for these guys but what a direction to take.

Come on owners, go for a new era.

No one mentioned Bielsa. Played 763 win % 45.3
Wilder Played 1061 win % 43.26
Cooper Played 302 win % 46.69

Dyche Played 558 win % 34.41

Yeah, Sean Dyche, exciting winning football. Even Sausage Rohll has a win ratio of 38.82.
