Hot from my ITK source.

We will have a new striker in place for the Derby match, can't say too much but, i think the Blades fans will be in for a pleasant surprise!

Uncle Richard.

It's Ashley Ward. Does everything Porter does, only at a much higher cost!

If he can score we don't want him.

Deano would still be miles better than what we have and he retired a long time ago

There's an Irish guy of greek decent supposedly available. Carl O'Stevez.

Coat? ;-)

Webber hasn't done much in the way of striking lately, but Shaun Miller of Crewe looks a good catch.
Although anyone that can hit a barn door would be an improvement.
Get them in quickly whoever will need time to fit into the team before the derby.
DW said he wanted another striker after the Hudds game but nothing happened .

Carlos Tevez in on loan to make up for old times? :)

On a serious note is it Jamie Mackie? Just returned from injury and I doubt he is in QPR's 25 selected players.

fits with what DW has said on the OS.

Maybe Akinbye for a one match wonder performance?

ah go on then.... Luton Shelton

And Michael Brown in midfield (obviously)

Andy Reid (although he's not a striker) isn't playing every week for Forest...

we need a good striker...

If he'd take the pay cut I'd have him (reid not arthur) back alongside monty, plus someone with pace and a striker with the ability to hit the proverbial cows arse with a banjo!

Blimey, Webber at his best was a risky proposition injury wise, 6 years on having only played about 30 games since he left us, no thanks.

Providing he was on a pay for play contract I wouldn't mind, after all we'd be paying him bugger all due to his injuries. Maybe though we need someone who is a fit athlete and can play every game.

Said a few weeks ago I would rather have Webber back than Beattie. He will do for me, fox in the box styleee

His injury record is not good we dont want to be signing another crock, just shows how desperate we are if we are looking at a signing like this, if it was pay as you play that would go some way to tempering my lack of enthusiasm but he is not the answer to our problems

If Webber signs we should have a competition to predict the date of his last appearance before a season ending injury.

My money's on early December.

Why, why would you say that? Had you been drinking? Were you talking in your sleep?

I would love to see him back. Quality player.

His recent injury record is a slight concern.

Worth the gamble though, has the kind of movement we are lacking.

Always felt he would have been a top class player if he was that little bit more clinical.

Technically he is as good as anyone outside the top flight when he's fit and firing.

Uncle Richard.

If they'd have signed me when they had chance things would have been different ;-)

But I have made my money, I am a free agent, and I just want to enjoy my football. Sounds like.....................................

Webber appearances and goals in last 5 seasons:

2010–11 8 games, no goals
2009–10 17 games 1 goal
2008–09 36 games, 4 goals
2007–08 14 games, 3 goals
2006–07 22 games, 3 goals

I loved me some Danny Webber, back in 2006. Not now, though. As with Marcus Bent, anyone who thinks this is a good deal has clearly not factored in the passage of time.

We have enough forwards who have crappy recent records like that...
