What is the likelihood of Speed using his contacts and getting a new signing in before the weekend? I'm sure a few old friends would be happy to help him out. I do think he will try to get a few faces in before the end of the window - or once the premier league clubs have chosen their 25 man squads.

When he does sign do you think he will go for premiership players or ones from the championship or lower down?

ive heard a strong rumour (partly confirmed by a bloke who knows the investor) that the malaysian bloke mccabe went to meet is going to be giving us some funds by the end of the week to purely invest in players (this will be done as a sponsorship role from the investor) the bloke i spoke with who knows him actually worked with the malaysian investor a few years back and still speaks to him and reckons this is definately happening. when i asked for figures he said it wouldnt be a daft amount but could potentially be 2-3 mill.

Speed doesn't want to be overloaded with loans like last year - he wants to get some new signings in before the end of the window. Is looking to change the direction of the club and obtain a culture to take it forward in the future.

maybe you did.

this isnt being viewed as an investment in which shares would be given, the funds are a 'sponsorship payment' think of it as a good will gesture payment, an intent to invest.

the shares issue is what i asked my source about and he said the malaysian didnt want to discuss small amounts of shares at the minute and would prefer too see how things go with the little amount he gives us and then make a decision further down the line.
