June 21 Aaron signs for Sheffield United
Another great show at the End of Season Presentation Awards for season 2009/10 in the Arklow Bay Hotel earlier this evening, with defender Aaron Barry taking centre stage, signing professional terms with Sheffield United on the main stage. A proud moment indeed for Aaron, his family and all associated with Arklow Town FC as he put pen to paper with Blades trio, Carl Schieber, Greg Batten and new Academy manager John Pemberton, securing a contract that takes the popular defender across the water to commence a new beginning at the Yorkshire club's Academy. Aaron has just completed a wonderful season where he has been capped at international level and closer to home he has been a pivotal figure in Town's LFA Youth Cup success and also with the Wicklow side that reached the FAI Inter-League final last month. Further coverage on this evening's celebration of Town's success at senior and junior level in the Arklow Bay Hotel to follow.

Think there's a lot of untapped talent out that neck of the woods and as we have a link with them, it could prove to be beneficial. So fingers crossed he turns out to be in the same mould as all the Reading signings made under Steve Coppell!
