Typical that the season we have this pitch laid sees very little of the sort of weather that's seen postponements in every other season.

I always thought the pitch would be a good thing to invest in, but had I realised it would be at the expense of our promotion chances I would've had second thoughts. Surely it would've been better to wait until we were in the Championship with an established squad of players. I think the owners showed a lot of complacency that results on the pitch would naturally follow.

Yeah but we wouldn't be able to have maniacs doing stunts on motorbikes on it in a couple of weeks if we had kept the old pitch and won promotion, think about the important stuff.
