If it happened hope it more Bromby/Geary/Quinn than CurranSigning Hirst would have great shithouse value
If that had been a derby I might have expected "Sheffield Wednesday's full of ladyboys" chanted in response. That is just cringeworthy
You don’t have to look too far to see when owners should reign it in and be careful what they communicate…
Or, they could of course, all be on the exact same wavelength as each other, understand each other perfectly, and be working hard together to address issues created by potential vendors of players. Not taking sides here, but whatever the new owners may have said to Wilder, may have been misinterpreted or misunderstood. Wilder was possibly over optimistic at best, or at worst, gullible?
We are talking about two moving parts here, both speaking a similar, but often misunderstood language. Wilder is bluff, arrogant and intransigent, and the other side is a group of very wealthy Americans, using business speak?
On the other hand, they could be bullshitting, and he could be hearing what he wants to hear. Wilder has many admirable qualities as a football manager, and he is uniquely suited to this club. The new owners are not well known for anything other than taking a very long time to buy the club, and having the wealth and persistence to get their bid past the tests set by the EFL.

Not well known by you. While I can't say I know them either, their respective accomplishments will make them well known to some people. Helmy especially appears to be of particular renown, based on the info shared about him in the confirmation article the club put out.The new owners are not well known for anything
The official announcement on the club website came on December 23rd. The thread on here about this takeover attempt was started on May 22nd. Seven months is not a particularly long time to get a deal done, when the deal in question is £100million+.other than taking a very long time to buy the club

We almost had a household name almost take us over, right after the Carlo Colombotti thing.Charlieblade there is literally videos of them on fox news and conferences in the US. Now they might not be household names but how many owners are?!
Obviously worked once !,Never worked on the ex wife.
I think the US media, especially Fox, shows just how different the two countries and populations are! If that is used as a measure of our understanding of US business speak, no wonder there are delays.Charlieblade there is literally videos of them on fox news and conferences in the US. Seven months is a long time for a supporter with little knowledge about such deals. Not well known by you. The article here suggests a rough timeline to complete acquisition of a business as being 6-12 months. So unless talks were ongoing for a lot longer than they appeared to have (which would have required the likes of El Accounto and such to be in the dark for multiple months), this deal was done in a perfectly reasonable amount of time.
