It's looking like we'll have a new midfield after tonight. Just what we needed. Could play Hourihane, Gibbs White, Berge and possibly Collado. Think Berge will prosper playing alongside quality. Slav will be happy. Could have a knock on effect not only on the team but the entire season. Reasons for optimism again. I expect to see more from Brewster and McBurnie too. With a more creative midfield to feed off.

Put them on a pay as you play deal, then they might start putting in an effort and giving a shit. I'm more pissed at Norwood than Fleck. He's played under Slav before and knows what he expects, what his tactics are etc, and yet he's put in nothing but sub-average performances so far.

Amazingly not one rumour about any of our lot being wanted by anyone !! Nobody in for McBurnie, Brewster , Osborne , Fleck,Norwood or Robinson !! ( to name a few). That tells us a great deal about our squad. Thank god our new boss has seen enough in 6 games to make changes.

Fleck, part of the best midfield I've seen in my life watching united now getting pelters after a period of average form. Hes done enough and given us all enough amazing memories to deserve more than that. Not just on this thread on numerous others too. I'd rather remember him sliding on the turf with Wilder after scoring a cracker vs Coventry or scoring the winner at Northampton or the 1st of 4 at pigsboro rather than slate the bloke on the Internet.

His form has been average at best over the last 12 months as has pretty much everyone else other than Mcgoldrick. He will probably get benched now due to new signings and quite rightly too. I just don't get why people are giving him dogs abuse(I don't mean you by the way) to read some comments you'd think he was in the same bracket as the likes of Jordan Stewart, Nosworthy, Dean Hammond. John Fleck has been an amazing midfielder for us bought for fuck all and a joy to watch. Hope he regains his form somehow either with us or with someone else.

On a personal note my dislike for Fleck comes from his performances since the restart and he's been consistently poor since then with a handful of okay performances and maybe two good performances. We can't live in the past and the fact that Wilder and Heckingbottom kept picking him annoyed me immensely. Fleck and Stevens used to be my favourite players, now I can't stand either of them and prefer to keep the past in the past. Both need to move on for the sake of their own careers. The problem is that no one will pay a fee for them and we can't release them as we committed them to new deals.

If you are addressing me, no I'm not that young I'm 39 and I stand by my statement that Mark Duffy, John Fleck and Paul Coutts/ Norwood in promotion season are the best midfield I've seen.
