I liked Wilder and we’ve loads to thank him for, but after the way he left us and the situation he left us in, I hope he makes a right bollocks of the Boro job if he gets it. I’d hate to think after walking away with a life changing payoff, he then turns around the next club he works with, when he could have possibly done it with us. He‘s definitely tainted in my option and I wish him well in his personal life but his career is something different, where for the next few years, at least, I would be much happier if he just treaded water and was a bit meh

Have you watched this shower of shite for the last 18 months? No quality, no pace, no desire - nothing. MGW, Ndiaye and possibly Billy for another 6 months apart we are utter shite.

There was a post earlier about being poor today. It said the football was far better under Wilder when we were losing. Presumably that didn’t include last season.

The rewriting of history by some of our fanbase is laughable.

He won’t. He will do a brilliant job.

You really don’t get it do you!
with the monies paid and the contracts agreed we are v likely to be in very deep Gumby with a useless unbalanced squad of overpaid players none of whom are worth more than we paid for them. If you consider that good management heaven help us, at least under Adkins we did not have massive financial liabilities.
wilder did a wonderful job on his rise up to the premiership, he has however left us in a v perilous position with assets which will not allow us to clear our debts.
No, he just got ordinary players to perform beyond the wildest dreams. He had one bad season and everyone takes the opportunity to kick a man when he’s down. Regards the money he supposedly wasted. At the time we all thought we’d bought well within our modest Premier league budget. We made up songs about our new heroes, McBurnie, Berge, Mousset and Brewster...With Prem millions and a crop of up and coming young starlets, what could possibly stop us?

I'd take Wilder (obviously) or even Warnock at this point.

Ironically I actually think Slav could do it with us eventually, I'm 50/50. But why would I take 50/50 when the odds would be overwhelmingly in our favour with either of the aforementioned?

If he turns Boro around it'll underline what we lost and what a huge mess the owner made of managing him.

The one who got us in the Prem and was clearly badly managed by a chairman who doesn't know what he's doing and has no money.
Wilder is undoubtedly not perfect but he hadn't run his race here and it should never have reached the point it did.
You only have to look at what happened when he left to know our problems are at the top. Six months without a proper manager, he didn't want to appoint Slav, appointed him late and then completely fucked up the transfer window.
And here we are.
Ffs let it go

This is absolutely true, we did all think this crop were going to be good, but we are fans not real working football people that are being paid vast sums of money to get this stuff right. THEY didn’t, they spent 100 million pounds on total dross. Spending our money on these failures was criminal. Watching that today was heartbreaking, no quality, no drive, no passion, no care it really was disheartenin. The 4500 that went have no right to a win, but they should have the right to 100% commitment, they were badly let down.

Corrected it for you

We should just 'let go' of the fact the owner of the club has made an utter mess of pretty much everything, including his management of Wilder which was the starting point for where we are now?
They both fucked up. They were both wank. It's over. Blame the owner for the current off the pitch fiasco but apart from that, let it go

Put your mortgage on us and Boro to be 2 leagues apart in a couple of seasons. Some can’t accept how much of a basket case we are, not just down to one man.
