Given the delay, either Speed was surprised and not ready to negotiate, or he is asking a lot OR they really are looking elsewhere. So, who takes training on Monday - Pemberton?

I agree - the longer the delay the less likely it will be Speed, in my opinion. I would have thought that he would take training and depending on who gets the job will stay or leave at that point. He didn't come as part of Blackwell's team and therefore will not have the same loyalty/links to go with him.

I still think SOD would be the man, but Mowbray would be interesting and MON very interesting indeed. I feel we need an experienced been there done that manager not a new to the job guy. This job is high pressured and the demands for results/change of style will be great, so it has to be someone who can make a difference. it is similar to when Kendall came in - it seemed that he changed our style overnight.
