Just a list of out of work coaches some really out of our reach

(1) Edin Terzic
(2) Imanol Alguacil
(3) Ange Postecoglou
(4) Sergio Conceicao
(5) Zinedine Zidane

Take your pick 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Worked for Leeds..that extra 12 months of preparation... wilders pretty good top end of the championship...

Did joke the other day that the takeover rumours we got every transfer window to distract from transfer activity under the last ownership have been replaced by manager changes under the new ownership 🤔🤔
Yes but the transfer window is closed for 10 days or so

Many good managers have come from league one. Like Chris Wilder. He's a far better shout with years of experience of success than Michael Carrick, Rob Edwards, Gary O'Neil, who will inevitably get mentions, bar Edwards who is set to be at Bori. In fact bar Sean Dyche he's got more proven success than most we could get.

If you're looking for a foreign name with knowledge of the foreign market then he's not going to be top choice but he's got a fantastic record of promotion with a small side. Besides where did Harrison Burrows, Enda Stevens and George Baldock plus endless managers. I'm much more in favour of managers with years of experience than bigger names who've managed big business with mixed success.
The new owners aren't just wanting us to get promoted. They want us to go up and stay up. They're looking at the long term future of the club, not the short term.

F

Relevant good points, but after this, I really don't see how he can stay. There must be immense tension between wilder and the owners which is not healthy, and moving forward it would be like a ticking bomb. Also , this saga will be impacting on the players not to mention the fans and their trust moving forward.
CLEAN SLATE required !
That's what I'm saying

Given some of the names that have been mentioned in the last few days (mainly by fans), would prefer them in this order.

1) Sean Dyche - most experienced with 2 promotions and several PL seasons under his belt, albeit playing what is considered to be boring football, but it is successful.
2) Steve Cooper - now working with the FA, not sure if he'll come back to the championship but still a good shout.
3) Gary O'Neill - probably the least experienced but seen a few people on here suggesting that he's a favourite with the owners, he did keep Bournemouth and Wolves in the PL at least.
4) Ruben Selles - seems to be an outside favourite, harshly let go by Hull but did a very good job at Reading under the circumstances, would be a punt.

No, no, no and hell no to Sean Dyche and his 1980s boring as hell, crap, uninspiring football.

I'm sick and tired of this club being stuck in the past as if we're no better than being a team of battlers and hoofers and this is all we'll ever be.

F**k right off with that one!

If all people care about is results then don't go to matches. Wait until full time and check your phone. You'll get the same outcome without having to spend money and give up 2 hours of your day to watch a rancid turdfest under Sean Dyche.

The irony is that our fans used to constantly accuse our owners of lacking ambition.

We were unlucky losing Harry Souttar. Holding didn't cut it in training.
I'm not saying you are wrong but how do you know he didn't cut it in training, I thought the general feeling was his lack of 90 minutes playing time for some months, if that is correct we should have probably brought someone else in

Laney has a direct line to all things Wilder. Wilders personal report to Laney as he left the training pitch for Wembley was, “still dunt work ard enuf’. No pashun neither.

It won’t split any more than it already is. It has been split since the awful decision to bring him back. That’s where the big mistake was made.

The next manager is on a hiding to nothing because of this. Even if they take us up, there will be those saying that Wilder would have taken us up better. The scrutiny will be intense and some won’t cut them any slack for anything. There will still be some agitating for Wilder to come back for a 3rd term, like the pigs who still call for Megson.

Wilder casts too big a shadow over the club in a way that has become very unhealthy. That’s going to hang around for a good while, so the sooner he goes the better, and we can start the long process of moving away from it into the next era. It won’t be without pain, but sometimes needs must.
I disagree on everything you've said but you're entitled to an opinion like everyone else!

I think Wilder was the only guy who could come in and turn the shit-show around under The Prince.

I don’t think people appreciate just how bad things were.

Interesting article on potential overseas coaches that the club may consider. For any of these to work off field structure needs to be overhauled with Sporting Director in situ. If as reported the owners are looking to extend AI beyond recruitment and into medical services such as conditioning and physio then that is progress imo.

My preferred choice at this moment in time would be Alexander Blessin with Will Still a close second although Southampton look to have nicked him.

So why did he play him three games in a row ( in which we conceded one goal )
And if he wasnt good enough that's on wilder he should have prioritised replacing souttar as anel and Robinson were weak as a partnership and he didn't he fucked it up

I agree he's a successful championship manager, but his football was derided by Burnley fans all season, just as much as Wilder's was.

I don't think it was way ahead of ours. They had a bigger budget, better squad and finished one place above us.
At risk of sticking my oar in here, the football was derided by some in the first half of the season because of all the 0-0s. We couldn't score against packed defences and Parker would not change the formation to try and sneak a goal. Signing Edwards in January made all the difference, not just because he is a good forward but also because it stopped the opposition from concentrating on Antony.

But Wilder's and Parker's tactics did have a lot in common, especially about sitting on a 1-0 lead. We would sit back and defend a 1-0, even at home, especially late in games. (Though later in the year we scored more second goals.) Burnley took the lead 30 times last season, and conceded just 2 equalisers. One to yourselves at Turf Moor, though we scored again, and one at home to Blackburn which ended as a draw. We took the lead in 14 away games and won them all. That was the difference, and whether it's down to the players or the manager I wouldn't like to say.

No Kjetil Knutsen?

With the thousands of members on this forum, surely someone must know someone, who knows somebody who can give an indication if he's staying or going?
