We need to strengthen in a few areas but starting with a team that got 90 points after a 2 point deduction means a 10 per cent improvement will see us over 100 points

A few will move on as usual but the basis of a very strong team remains

Yep…. Our owners are several people who have invested in the club & this shows how management by committee becomes a problem when key decisions are needed quickly.

So how do you know it’s infighting? Sounds overly dramatic but that’s what some CW supporters are doing. “It’s all gonna be AI” “Bettis said” ( without any proof) “it’s the board that’s leaked it” (again without proof) The most l’ve heard is there’s a split over Wilders future, not that they’re at war with each other.

Stating the obvious, but some on here seem to struggle

We will sign established players as well as AI data kids

there I said it

So all the Fanny’s and bed wetters who think our team next season will be Bulgarian 20 year olds, it wont

Buy 10 for £100k each, 1 comes good = great business

They don’t amass that wealth by been fuckin stupid

Lad Chansiri is fucking wealthy as owt. There’s a whole football league of wealthy shithouse owners.

If the jury is still out about sacking wilder they can't have someone lined up imo, or they are still trying to negotiate with someone before deciding, rumour of a split decision won't help wilder, knowing half the board wanted him gone, otherwise just say we carry on as we are

"Chris manages the football club not just the team" well there lies the problem. In. making that statement you obviously have no idea how football clubs in the higher echelons of the "modern football era" are "managed/structured" and have been for some time. Or is it you don’t want to accept it. It's the same old "The Sheffield United Way" is the only way. I've seen it for 63 years as we have fallen further and further behind with owners who haven't got a clue or haven't got the money, very often both.

Aah. He’s clearly missing the limelight so much he’s had to do a reverse ferret about his opinion of Chris Wilder.
He’s also being such a hypocrite. He backed the prince when they went down the data route, now the new owners are doing it he’s pulling them to pieces. Unfortunately on the X world he has a voice and people still hang on his every word, hence the reason he loves doing match reports, transfer comments, club comments - he’s stirring the pot and he knows it.

Slav was given until November before he got his P45. Our fans aren't noted for their patience. We demand instant success.

Luckily Hecky proved to be the right man at the right time, but the binning of Slav's project after four months of the season implies that we can forget all about three-year plans. It's probably immediate promotion or the dole queue these days.
That all happened under a very different owner who panicked.

Sounds good in theory. The one problem though is invariably when these players get to a good standard the big fish come swimming around and we flog them either because we want the money or the players head is turned. Then we are back in the Premiership still without these newly developed world beaters
That's the modern way though and fans need to get past this "selling is evil" attitude.

Brentford wouldn't be where they are without having sold Watkins and Toney for significantly more than they paid for them. Villa lucked out with the sale of Grealish. Forest may be about to make huge profits on Gibbs-White and Elanga.

So long as you make a decent profit that can bankroll a replacement and strengthen elsewhere then this is a good thing. No club keeps their best players forever. Liverpool just lost Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid. Sunderland have lost Bellingham and Watson. That's football, but our fans always have an issue with it. I can sort of understand why due to McCabe giving away our best players for peanuts in the past ie. Brown, Beattie, Walker, Quinn, as well as the mishandling of Ndiaye and Berge's contracts (though arguably the embargo in January didn't help that).

If Burrows has an even better season next year and a Premier League come in for him for £20mil, then we'd sell, as we'd have made £17mil on him in just two seasons and he could be replaced at a fraction of the price, unless AI data had already led to a long term replacement whom we had already signed. They might not be ready for a couple of seasons at which point we'd likely sign a short term replacement for the interim or make do with someone already here.

Like it or lump it, that is football these days. All clubs are selling clubs when you have players that others seek.

Sadly, you are right. But there are still only 20 PL places, 24 in the Championship, etc. if everyone adopts this strategy, it reinforces the role of money in football. It has worked, briefly, for Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton, but as more clubs go down this route, they will be replaced by others briefly, perhaps by us. Meanwhile, the financial elite will not need to produce their own young players, but can just hoover up the best from elsewhere. And the riff-raff glimpse their young talent before they disappear, to be replaced briefly by promising young players bought in, who then disappear in the same way if they turn out to be good. It is not a world of football that fills me with enthusiasm.

If he's gone ,he's gone because tge Americans recognise that he bottled promotion
He picked a mentally and physically weak centre back pairing that spread indecision and panic throughout the team

Every one could see it but Chrissy knew best
Well you reap what you sow
We never replaced the honey monster at the back, I would have been happy if we had gone for his brother at rangers rather than waste the budget on a striker we really didn't need

There's multiple teams in Limassol, he was specifically with AEL, Chris Coleman was their manager last season. They've been dreadful for a while. Aris are now the top dogs in Limassol with Apollon behind them. All 3 teams play at the same stadium, the Alfa Mega or as I call it the Halfa Mega.
I seen AEL play against the “mighty” APEA FC when I was living in Akrotiri on my Dad’s: 2nd tour with family and my first too but don’t any of that one as was born there. They played them and RAF Akrotiri in 2 pre-season friendlies. Although I was a lot younger then and didn’t really pay much attention to the local sides. APEA Akrotiri are in the Cypriot 3rd division now.

Hal's Cypriot team ?

This is where patience comes in. To sign a player of Ndiaye's current calibre would set you back £30mil+ now. But he didn't cost us that back when we found him.

We signed him as future potential with a view of developing him to a first team player over 2-3 seasons, and that is exactly what happened.

This is exactly what the new owners are trying to do with the three new wingers. Who says they won't all potentially turn into the next Ndiaye in 2-3 years time.

We'll still need players in the interim until they're ready so not all recruitment will be AI led.

The American Way is to plan what your team in 3 seasons time might look like now and the team for the season after that. Start building and developing now and promotion may need to be sacrificed in the short term in the name of progressing and improving players.

We've seen more success in doing this with players like David Brooks and Iliman Ndiaye than we have done producing players from scratch in the academy. Phil Jagielka, Michael Tonge, Nick Montgomery, Stephen Quinn and the latter two, all labelled as our "academy products," when in reality we picked them up from other clubs academies, stuck them in ours for a season before they made the first team. Even Matt Lowton was only in our academy for three seasons before making the first team. Sydie Peck is another example.

Our academy has seen some results such as Walker, Naughton, Maguire, Ramsdale and Arblaster are all self produced players.
The board don't like the word developing. They expected them to go straight in the team because they were AI sourced. There's the difference of opinion in a nutshell. The AI lad who came this week CW welcomed him & said the development word. Oh dear !

Can we not just be a functioning football club that put things in place so we don't have to rely on Wilderness?

I dont think we should get rid but I don't think any of what El Acunto has preached is something to strive for.

Look at all the clubs of a similar to smaller size than us thriving in the prem and winning cups, of course the did it with a fan as manager.

Ranieri Leicester born and bred
Brenda Rodgers the same
Oliver Glasner Palace till he dies
Thomas Frank Bled Brentford
Andoni Iraola Sagarna, cherriest of Cherries

You get the idea

Hecky did great but there were some matches we won that promotion season where we absolute rubbish and were lucky to win.

Fully agree with this.

Wilder has done wonders in previous years on getting Utd into the premier league and finishing nearer the top. As time went on you got the feeling that next level would not be achievable and certain signings proved that.

We really need a new manager who can sign skilful ,composed and fit players needed for the top league.
Who's that then?

To put it lightly that’s the sort of rubbish that’s confusing people’s understanding. AI is another tool to speed up and refine the process of analysing and sorting data.
We have used data to source players for years. AI just goes through a lot more data in a nano second.
Go on google and ask anything, it will go through the data available to it and come back with millions of answers. Average Jo will read top few (that are paid for to be at top).
Ask AI and give it parameters and it will look at the same data plus much more, refine it to your requirements, structure it in the way you want the information.
It’s all about the data, it’s called BIG data.
No one really believes owners type in “find me a striker for £1m that will score 30 goals”………. Do they?

APEA won promotion to the 2nd division last season for the first time in their history and in their 70th anniversary year plus they win the Coca-Cola Cup! It was a momentous season!
