Presuming we can get any manager we want and pay him stupid wages who would you get out of interest?

Someone who had already proven themselves a winner in the lower leagues, could work with youth players and be committed to develop them. Try and play attractive football that delivers results not just good in theory. I'd also bring Pemberton back. Getting rid of him was stupid.

We need a good no excellent Acadamy Manager. I also think we need a Director of Football. Given managerial teams can be quite successful perhaps we should be looking for that pairing. But it is all down to personalities too.

I still think for all his faults Warnock was made for SUFC so him and McCall? I don't know but a pairing could be useful.

Dream team (tongue in cheek) Sir Alex Fergusson DoF, Roy Keane Manager! I think that would be more blast furnace than hair dryer.

Tommy Brown, legendary manager of the legendary Fulchester United. After all, any manager who picks a native American with big tits on the wing can't be all bad, can he?

Kids, click in this link here where it says CLICKY. Or ask your dad.

Like i said on another thread, a young Brian Clough. Preferably an alive one.

Surely we need better players, or am I missing something?

Weir's good signing ratio looks to be similar to his win ratio. Of his eight (I think) signings, only two so far look like they could/should be good ones. Baxter and Cuvelier. The rest look average at best.

McGinty - clumsy and crap at passing
Coady - not the next Stevie G, unfortunately
Taylor - I thought he looked like he might have potential in the game I saw him in, but reports from others suggest he is miles away
Johns - looked like he couldn't control a medicine ball. People will say he's only young, but footballers now have been at academies from the age of about 9, and he looked technically dire
McGinn - one of the best of the rest - average.
Brandy - technically very good and quick to go with it, but inconsistent and lacks end product. I do like him, but hope he doesn't spend a lot of time either off form or out suspended.

I don't know if I'd trust Weir (or that other bloke that makes the signings, if it was him) with the Prince's millions.

EDIT: Oh my word, how could I forget Bunn? I've yet to see him, so will reserve judgement. He hasn't set the world on fire when on loan at this level before, but he was even younger then, so we will have to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure that at many stages last season Brendan Rodgers was having his head called for. Suarez's goals probably kept him in a job. Right now he is the Messiah of Liverpool after being top of the league and beating Man Utd.

What's the 'f word' to describe football fans again?

Not sure but are u saying the answer is Suarez ? I know we're rich but doubt he'd sign. Anyway Liverpool say he isn't for sale

Suarez could be the answer but can he play on a cold tuesday night in Gillingham?

David Weir is our manager. This sort of nonsense, together with similar drivel on Radio Pig, simply serves to undermine him and destabilise the club.
There is no way he going to be shown the door for the forseeable future like before Xmas at the earliest.

But what he must do is realise he must change from joke of a way we are playing I can't even categorise it that's how bad it is.
Passing football to me is not about stringing ten yard passes around the back four its about probing, trying to create goalscoring opportunities we are not doing any of this.
Is Weir just hell bent on impressing his fantasies on how he thinks football should be played or will he realise to get out of this league you've got to play an up tempo game get the ball out wide lets get balls in the box wingers, full backs getting forward, front men hurting

get it forrad

I can't understand why he wont change a system that is obviously not working. Either he doesn't know how to, (which I would find hard to believe) or he is too pig headed to admit he's got it wrong, (which will end up with him picking up his cards.)

The loan window opening tomorrow will give us an indication of what is in store, I can see 2 or 3 coming in on loans with permanent deals in Jan and maybe 2 or 3 going the other way on the same basis. If not then I really fear for Wier as it is 100% clear that the current squad, in the current system isn't working so something has to change.

fucking clueless??

Sorry that's two words.....

Fuckingclueless! Better

Weir needs to be given time to develop the style/first 11 he needs to win matches. Rome wasn't built in a day.

But just for sake of argument:

Realistic: Gus Poyet, Karl Robinson, Stuart Mcall

Pie in the sky: Jose fucking Mourinho.

Someone said Roy Keane earlier, that made me laugh.

Quite right. We have to change the players. I'm fed up with the circular philosophy of despair that says 'these players aren't good enough to play proper football, so find a system to suit them'. Bollocks to that. It's a recipe for eternal Hoof. Quality players not signed because they won't fit the non-football system - the non-football is perpetuated.

We need to break the stranglehold that non-football has on our club. It will obviously take a little pain, but My God, if ever we had a chance to rid ourself of our thoroughly deserved and shameful reputation then HRH has provided it.

Sadly, we have some of the worst fans in football; lacking both intelligence and bottle.
