Sacking Blackwell after the 3-0 defeat against QPR ( second game of the season ) was the cause of our decline . Yes we would not have got relegated that season , but neither would we have got promoted . That season like every season , expectations are high at BDTBL . This season even more so .

When you look at the teams above us , all the managers are league 1 pedigree managers , and know the league inside out .

Our problem is that Mr Clough is not a league 1 manager and is still on a steep learning curve . Have we got time or patience for his continual professional development of this league , only time will tell .. It would not be a issue if he got us out of this league and back into the championship were he actually belongs . The championship being his level of management capabilities .However this may now only be achieved by the playoffs , if the right recruitment is made in January .

We again are leaving everything to chance , but change of manager , would be suicidal.

SUFC have made there bed with Mr Clough and have to lay in it. Statics do show that the name of the game is to stick not twist when it comes to managers.

Let us see were Mr Clough takes us , we have no choice , unless the points tally at home continues and he looses the support and backing of the fans , which will be evident to all , by the atmosphere at the lane , if we see no improvement.

You say: "Our problem is that Mr Clough is not a league 1 manager and is still on a steep learning curve .......The championship being his level of management capabilities"

That is quite possibly the most ludicrous statement I've ever seen. Clough has spent most of his managerial career in League 2 & non-league. He failed miserably in his only Championship job at Derby - a team who improved massively after sacking him.

How anyone can defend Clough after his signings, team selections and tactics is beyond me.

Player quality
Tactics
Fitness
Player moral

Out if those 4, I reckon player quality is something that we're rather blessed with (for the division).

Are the other 3 the issues?

Does Clough need help?

Why does his brother take a wage out of our cash that we out into the club??

Fitness should not be an issue from people who claim to be professional footballers. Tactics - maybe, we seem to be able to create chances but then go flat in the final third. Player moral - not sure, I hope not, if you can't be upbeat about being paid a lot to kick a ball around, then there is an issue.

Tony Pulis?
He will want to bring in his backroom staff, we pay off Clough & co, Pulis will want his list of players. All very costly and with the strict FFP rules, it wouldnt work in mid-season. Clough will be doing wheeling & dealing next month and I think we will finish strongly this season

I'm sticking with Clough.
Obviously results are very disappointing recently but I'm really enjoying what he's trying to do here, 'the bigger picture'...the way he trying to get us playing, the kids he's bringing in/through...despite this terrible period I do think he's the one to take the club forwards.

We've seen some great stuff from the team under Clough, just need that consistency and ability to grind out the wins.

I really do think a lot of fans are in denial of how fucked up our team was at the start of last season and the end of the season before and how average it is now.

Some fans believe that we're a championship club still.... how long have we been in this league? It's very hard to get out of this league if you don't bounce straight back ( like wolves did )

I still trust Nigel to get us in the play-offs, although his tactics are extremely frustrating for fans he's probably the best option we've got.

Tony Pulis?

grafikhaus . i have said it before . There is no way Pulis would come to BDTBL and work under Mr Clough.

Forget all other mangers in a job , out of work , or up and coming , lets for many many years have some stability , and stick with Mr Clough.

At last we have a manager who is right for the club . He has the full backing of the board , which we will see how much and how a strong belief , with the amount of money they give him , to finalise a promotion push.

Full backing of the fans will come with success and i don't mean a cup semi final , which in the overall scheme of things mean nowt.

If you look around the Lane, check out the fan base, we're actually a Premier League club. Problem is we have a 3rd division team and a board of directors with 3rd rate aspirations.

We're here because of the inept way the club's been run, and is still being run. McCabe is tin pot, and as for the angry Prince who calls on the phone 3 times a day after each defeat well what can you say? Invisible, ineffective and as above, inept.

Still not sure about Cloughie, I really want him to succeed and hope that he can turn things around. My fear is that the spin from the board just leaves me cold. There's no real investment, no good signings on the horizon, just the same old hot air to be spouted until the next manager loses his job.....and then it starts all over again.

Weve had a bad couple of months, but cloughs proving through the cup games that he's building something. Getting rid of him would be the most ridiculous thing we could do.

Keep him long term and let him build with the kids - like he's doing

Main thing is that we get out of this league. We've a big job to do after a dire couple of months

Sorry Swiss we will not get out of this league under Clough.
