New look site is now up and running..... Replica shirts page has last seasons black and orange and white 3rd shirts but no home shirt.
There is a picture that says Macron & "available from saturday" but it doesn't link anywhere at present. From that i'd assume we've taken up the extra year on the end of the existing deal with Macron.
Cheers
Dave.

They would be able to settle united fans down if they just released a new kit every two years....... so they will just be hassled once every two years.

Likewise blades forums won't be hammered with threads like "is it still macron?" "We want adidas or nike" "apparently the new kit will include a incorrectly drawn swastika instead of the badge"

however piss poor we can be as a club I at least assume we will be able to wear red and white striped shirts for the opening fixture

I hope they have the SS thunderflashes on the socks (Sheffield Steel) :) Wir sind auf dem Marsch mit Weir Armee.

I used the analogy of swastikas assuming that it would never happen...............

Been in shop today and asked when new kit out, was told the end of this month just before season starts

See it all the time in Japan, it's used to represent a temple on a map for example.

It's actually a Buddhist symbol of peace

Also in India where it is a symbol of Hinduism which refers to being "good".

There are swastikas on the Indian High Commission down in the Aldwych (albeit with the corners facing the opposite way to the Nazi version).

It's originally a Sanskrit symbol and the Nazis adpted it precisely because of its connection with what they considered to be its association with the beginnings of the Aryan people. It's rather naive now though to think that anyone would think anything other than "Nazi" when seeing one.

There's a swastika in the ceiling of the Hofbrauhaus in Munich which dates back to Adolf's time. Not long ago they were slightly amended to de-Nazify them.

Before & After:

I gather Hitler spoke in the building, which seems incredibly odd now, as it's a friendly beery cheery place.

On one intepretation the Nazi Party was actually founded there: In 1920 Hitler reconstituted the German Workers' Party as the German National Socialist Workers' Party and propounded the party's 25 basic theses.
