Following Bradford Blades lead and making up mock designs myself. I'd be happy with a home & away shirt like this. Keep it simple.

Ladies and gentleman.. We have two winners

Getting bored of black away kits tho... Like people have stated... Need something not associated with the home colours

Bang on that. Simple, classy. Need you in the club design dept!

With these 2 shirts Id go with:
Home - Black Shorts, White Socks
Away - White Shorts, Red Socks (but black socks would look good too).

Wednesdayite wife looking over my shoulder: ''I don't like the new United shirts''
Me: ''They haven't been released yet''
Wife: ''I know but I still don't like them''
Me: ''No, they're not the actual shirts, someone has designed them and posted them on here''
Wife: ''I don't like that away one''
Me: ''Are you mad? That's the best looking shirt we've had in years''
Wife: ''I thought you said they hadn't been released?''

Aarrgghh, stupid pig wife.

Never say never BUT I suppose we are all prepared for instant disappointment when the real Macron® shirt is published.
Here is a design by Glasgow Blade, simple and and if you like 'fashionable' but I would have had one like this 30 years ago, it is actually stylish and therefore, relatively, timeless.
So why do we brace ourselves for some over elaborate nylon thing that bears no relation to the simplicity and comfort of the clothes we wear daily, be they by Fred Perry, H&M, Oswald Boateng, Marks and Spencer or even Sir Paul Smith himself?
I don't doubt that the Macron designers are just as tasteful as we are ourselves, I don't suppose they'd be seen dead in the equivalent of 'the Rutland' or 'the Cricketers' in Milan or wherever in anything less than a Saville Row suit but the truth is, they try and second guess the market, they condescend to design for what they perceive as a lumpen English proletariate whom they think like the feeling of static cling on their chest hair in the morning.
As a designer myself, aye, sometimes of shirts! I can state that when you design in a patronising way, you change for change's sake (or profit's sake), you will always design badly.
You only design well when you design something you want for yourself.....

I hope I'm wrong and you will mock this worthless post when the great unveiling is done.

Where is it....

It should be put out to the fans to design next years kit.(too late for this year) I for one would buy both of the ones by Glasgow Blade.
At least then we may get something we actually like.
