Apologies mancunianblade you were right about the plain back. That and the fucked up collar ruins it. Oh and the shitty cheaply done sleeve cuffs.

Had a meeting with Errea last week and they told me, but didnt want to say the source on a public forum before launch. They stated the plane back was due to regulation but Im not sure its fully enforced yet. I think its West Brom that have a striped back so it all seems a bit murky

It's probably because of the TV audience. Because with stripes at the back sometimes it's really hard to identify the numbers. I remember Newcastle being the worst offenders. Was nearly impossible at times to see the number.

As with nearly all our kits, I don't really care so long as it's not awful/embarrassing. Not bought one since I was 13 (33 years ago) so IDGAF really. TBF this one is decent.

Its regulation in some leagues, UEFA comps for sure, I dont like it but I understand it. its not a new thing either number of our umbro kits from the 80s and 90s had the box and they looked great

I really like it!

I love us to have black pin stripes as well as stripes on the back, but in order for things to stay fresh and feel new change is good from time to time.

Positives:

• sponsor looks good
• The back is red and not white

Epic fail. Doesn't matter how good the front is, if it's a plain back it's a definite no-no. We look like Crewe when we're attacking the opposite end. Ruined what looked at first to be a perfectly good Blades strip.

7/10 for me, loses points for central stripe should always be red, solid red back panel, collar is a bit weird and no need for a white outline on the sponsor logo. Probably have a wonky badge too.

Not sure about the trims on the sleeves I'd prefer the cutlass blades to be separated, all I see is a lady with a red bra waiting to take one from behind. Once you see it you can't un see it

Hmmm... I'm hoping it might grow on me, we'll see what it looks like with a run out.

First obs:

Pros:
Clean, simplistic design.
Subtle sponsor.
If the back had to be block, it's better red.

Cons:
Middle stripe should always be red.
The collar is weird.
As ever, so much will come down to manufacturing quality.

What's with the media production too?! It's a welcome step away from flickering images, urban location, Toddla T grime tracks, rubbing palms and tapping badges... But it's gone proper hard in on the "I'm a Bled, me. From t'city, gunna t'Lane, suppin' Wards" It just needed "GERRITFORRARD", "GERRITINBOX", "FERFOOKSSAKEYOONITED" and "SIDDARN" for a true sense of local, grotty, authenticity.

All in all, glad it's our last year with Errea. A change cannot come soon enough.
